Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock was a real gem we stumbled upon while wandering around Kuala Lumpur. The name itself is pretty darn unique, and from the outside, I wasn't sure what to expect. Maybe an antique shop? But curiosity got the better of us, and we ventured in. Inside, it was a whole other story! Bustling with energy, the restaurant was a delightful mix of locals and tourists, all there for one thing - the food! The menu was a celebration of Malaysia, offering Malay, Chinese, and Indian dishes all under one roof. It felt like a true "satu Malaysia" (one Malaysia) experience. We went for the classics - nasi lemak and prawn mee. The nasi lemak, with its fluffy coconut rice, crispy fried chicken, and all the yummy fixings, was exactly what I needed. It wasn't greasy, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The prawn mee was just as good, with a rich and flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles and prawns. The best part, though? The friendly service! Even though the place was packed, our waiter took the time to explain some of the dishes and even made some recommendations based on our preferences. It felt like a local welcoming us into their favorite spot. Overall, Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock was a fantastic introduction to Malaysian cuisine and culture. It was delicious, affordable, and a great place to soak up the local vibe. If you're in Kuala Lumpur and looking for an authentic experience, definitely put this place on your list!

THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAD AT THIS RESTAURANT. I walk in 4.35pm (3/9/25) and no staff came to take order until I have to call them, after 10minutes 1 girl waiter came with QR, after ordered, within 5min, received First dish, but I waited 20min still no drink serve, until I have to remind to one staff then she prepare. Only thing she say Sorry forgot. OK Again another 20min I waited, after 10min 2nd meal served and waited 40min 3rd meal never served yet. Meanwhile restaurant occupied only 6 customer. All waiter are laughing and playing and never bother to check on customer orders. My wife get pissed off and said, finish your meal let's pay n get out. We go to diffrent restaurant!. I feel so bad because myself the one suggest this restaurant. But this was my first & last to this restaurant. I wasted literally 45minutes just wait for food. Please give training for your staff before hired them or don't open to public if not ready to serve or provide proper customer service. WORST EXPERIENCE!

Came here on an empty stomach after a good workout expecting good breakfast was probably a decision i’ll regret for a very very long time if not the rest of my life. Came at 9am and alot of items were already sold out. What we ordered: 1. Nasi Lemak with Ayam Goreng -Fried Chicken was not hot, and the batter was really thick and not crispy at all -Fried anchovies were hard and pretty salty 2. Hainanese Chicken Chop -Chicken was way overcooked. Thick hard batter and with dry and tough chicken inside. 3. Half boiled eggs set with toasts and coffee -Toasts were under toasted, not crispy and rather tough -Very stingy on the fillings -the yolks were not runny and had nearly set even tho it should have been half boiled eggs 4. Nasi Goreng Kampung -Was probably the saving grace yet still lacked the wok heat Probably our first and last visit here. Went home feeling disappointed. Such wasted calories! Definitely better options elsewhere.

The food was okay, but very disappointed with their service. We ordered through their online scanning and waited our food. They brought our food but our drinks were sitting on the counter for 20 minutes while their waiters were sitting on the tables meant for guests having drinks and chit chatting. None of them were walking around for us to even call them. They finally brought the drinks and then at 3.56pm they told us they are closing and asked us to pay while we were still eating. The waiter couldn’t even say receipt. She said she would bring “paper untuk harga”. According to the business hours, they closed at 4.30pm. They turned away all customers at 4pm saying that the food finished and they are closed while customers can still come in to have drinks. Very disappointing. The waiters are lazy and rude. All the food was cold when arrived, so were the hot drinks from sitting on the counter for so long. Not too mention the waiters were also shouting across the restaurant to each other...
