After a 12 hour flight from London we arrived at the hotel at about 10am. We weren’t allowed breakfast which was still being served and was charged extra to access our double deluxe room early. A little discretion could have been used here? Not a great welcome! We were given a room on the ninth floor and discovered the water was pouring out brown water. My son thought it might have been either sewage or pipe. We were then moved to the 13 floor which we thought was an upgrade (superior triple) as the room was bigger and had an extra toilet. But this room was riddled with problems cold water, poor house keeping (continuously room not being made up or/and stocks not being replenished), not enough chairs, not enough wardrobe space and hangers for three people and not a single hook in either the bathrooms. Throughout the whole hotel with exception of the reception area the internet was terrible so basically we had no internet for the entirety of the time we spent at the hotel. On the positives the air conditioning and fridge worked well and this is always important in a country with hot climate. Apart from the hotel not providing an alternative to white bread (i.e whole meal or granary) and an alternative to milk (soya, almond, oat etc) me and my husband enjoyed breakfast. There was so much variety (freshly made egg and South Indian station, buffet (though was cold at times), fresh fruit, juices, salads, desserts and hot drinks). It so cheap to shop there so if you have dietary requirements or preference or fussy kids you can shop and bring down your items for breakfast as I bought whole meal bread for the whole family and cereal for my son. Security, reception and breakfast staff were amazing (helpful and friendly) but unfortunately housekeeping let the hotel down. The location of the hotel is brilliant for catching their alternative to the tube. Though fortunately it’s all overground and well conditioned but doesn’t take much people and therefore a bit of a scrabble to get get a seat though spacious for standing! But it’s very clean and well conditioned. Also there is a little supermarket 7/11 adjacent to the hotel and is open 24 hours! Very handy and very cheap! Although kuala lumpur is beautiful the pollution isn’t. So beware. Maybe carry a mask! Use monorail and cheap as chips ‘Grab’ which is a taxi app where you can. That’s how we got about! The hotel offer to take you to one of three local places but you’d have to make your own way back. On the 19th floor there is a gym and prayer room. Half way through my stay I decided to pray in my room as I found the prayer room too hot 🥵 as air condition takes time to kick in and it was always switched off as I guess most...
Read moreParking was a problem during my stay. The lift in the parking area was not functioning, but the front office staff did not inform us. I had already unloaded all the luggage and was accompanying a wheelchair user with an elderly lady, only to find out the lift could not be used. Exiting the parking was also confusing – I was charged RM3, then told it was free but needed to inform them first, which was never explained clearly. Later, the staff suggested parking in front of the hotel, and luckily it was a public holiday so there was no traffic police around.
On the positive side, the hotel staff did take the initiative to help carry our luggage to the room (something that should have been done earlier). The room itself was spacious, clean, with good water pressure. Breakfast was acceptable, nothing outstanding but sufficient.
Overall, the stay was comfortable once settled, but the parking arrangement and lack of clear communication from the front office made the first impression quite stressful.
👉 Suggestion for improvement: The hotel should really improve service and SOPs at the front office, ensuring guests are clearly informed about parking, charges, and any facilities that are not functioning. Proper maintenance of important facilities like the lift is also crucial, especially for guests with elderly or disabled...
Read moreThe hotel is conveniently located near the city centre, though traffic can be heavy during peak hours. Within walking distance, there are 7-Eleven, restaurants, and even a bar, which makes it quite convenient.
The room was spacious and the bathroom clean, equipped with a bathtub. However, the hot water supply was intermittent, which could be improved. The bed was not a true king-size, but rather two single beds joined together.
Parking is available on the upper floors, but guests are required to validate the ticket every time they exit, which can be slightly inconvenient. Perhaps validation via a call to the front desk could be considered, especially when parking are at different lower floors.
The hotel provides a drinking water dispenser in the hallway, which is a thoughtful touch. Facilities include a gym, a dessert café, and a restaurant for dining in.
Staff service was excellent; communication was smooth, and even the housekeeping team was very friendly and attentive.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay and liked the hotel. With some improvements, especially on hot water consistency, parking validation and wrong bed arrangement, the experience could be...
