A solid plate of Nasi Lemak. Was it better than Village Park? No, but it’s different. Rice taste good but could be a bit more fragrant. Sambal was spicy but the good kind. Bloody delicious. Egg, nuts and ikan bilis was standard. Cucumber felt dried so it’s definitely been sitting there. Fried chicken, was good. Didn’t stand out but was a nicely fried piece of chicken. Still, not the main show, What stood out here, that I can safely say is the best is that beef rendang. You get decent rendang at other places but this one, you take a bite and it takes you back to your kampung. Literally makes you go for a second bite, raw, straight rendang to just taste it solo. The stuff you see on tv where the person closes their eyes to just soak up the spices. And it wasn’t just the spices it was the texture. That meat just melted in my mouth the moment it went in. So soft even my 80 year old grandma with no teeth could enjoy it. Mixed with the nasi lemak combo and fried chicken crackling, this plate of NL was 🔥. What I liked almost instantly was they gave us these tumblers for our drinks to make it cold longer. Love the attention to detail. Prices are very affordable especially for a shopping mall. Will include this place as a staple moving forward. There’s a reason there’s a...

Best nasi lemak everr !!

If you’re looking for authentic nasi lemak with a side of genuinely friendly service, this is the spot. The manager, Mr Rudy, is one of the kindest and most down-to-earth people you’ll meet. He greets customers with a smile and treats everyone like a regular—even if it’s your first visit. You can feel that he truly cares about both the food and the people.

The rice here is next-level—perfectly cooked, rich with santan (coconut milk), and super fragrant. You can taste the quality from the first bite. It’s fluffy and flavorful, not soggy or bland like at some other places.

The sambal has a nice balance—not too spicy, just enough heat—and pairs beautifully with the rice.

The staff are polite, fast, and always attentive. Even during busy hours, they make an effort to serve everyone with a smile.

Highly recommended if you’re in Sunway 163 and craving good food with good vibes. You come for the nasi lemak, but you stay for the people. Kudos to Abang...

Big portions, clean and comfortable restaurant, plenty of staff to help, The Nasi Lemak Shop uplifts the humble nasi lemak dish to posh mall level but, of course, at a higher price point. Around RM16-18 for a plate. The basic nasi lemak is about RM7.

Justifiably then, there is no extra charge for more sambal, unlike the 'other' brand. IYKYK. Lots and lots of peanuts, ikan bilis, and fried bits. They are not stingy with these. Nice loose and fragrant rice grains. Hate me a gooey nasi lemak rice. And, did I forget to mention the huge portion? I almost couldn't move after one plate. The beef rendang is alright, but maybe Jalan Alor stall or Say Yes does it better. It's just that the colour isn't dark enough. However, the fried chicken is flavourful and juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Everything feels fresh and clean. Serving time is swift. Barely any wait.

I like the big metal beverage cups, too. Complements the heartiness of the mains.

Good....

Always wanted to try the Bandar Utama branch, but the location and long queues were a turn-off - so I was thrilled when they opened one here! Dropped by just after 6pm on a Saturday and got seated right away. The staff were incredibly friendly, greeting us even before we stepped in. Their cheerful vibe and light banter created such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Food came fast, which was a nice surprise. Generous portions all around. The sambal is more sweet than spicy, and they’re generous with the peanuts and anchovies. Fried chicken was the star - big, crispy, and packed with flavour. The sotong sambal and udang petai, though, were underwhelming - lukewarm and a bit overcooked. Edible, but I’ll stick to the chicken next time. Bonus: you can ask for extra sambal for free! Definitely a place I’d return to.
