We stayed in a private bedroom with private bathroom for 3 nights. This "hostel" felt somehow like an illegal business, as some people have previously mentioned on booking.com.||||The hostel, or serviced apartment, whatever they want to call it, is located among several blocs (there were more than 5!) that were all sharing one rooftop swimming pool. We chose it because of this factor (talk about click-bait!) and we regret it.||1.The swimming pool is too small considering the number of people it caters for from all the 30 floor apartment blocs. The pool is also dirty, and hence not really the "relaxing" type of pool, and it was overly crowded. There was also no space to move around the pool.||2.The room.. where can we start. The air con wasn't working, and it was extremely hot and humid. Having just came from a 20 hour flight, with our baggage stuck in transit, we just wanted to get some good sleep. Well, no. We asked the personnel to fix the air con, and after asking several times, they finally came to check the problem the next day. But, what did they do in the meanwhile? Somebody from the staff put a portable air con in the room, with its extremely hot exhaust letting hot air out in the room as well. The staff didn't even bother to bring an extension cable so that the exhaust would be hanging out of the window. After fighting all night and using their many contacts, finally, somebody comes at 1 am to help us, and brings a cable with him.||Moreover, the room was dirty. The carpet and couch were extremely dirty.. we found hair every where. The ceiling was full of holes, and one of two lights were working only. No bed side table lamps. The toilet, however, was okay.||We were sharing a common area, to which you see no pictures nor mentions on booking.com! We shared with other single rooms, but the common area is poor and dirty as well.||Hence, the private rooms are on a different floor and apartment, and detached from the hostel itself.||3. The hostel/penthouse reception. This is run by young and careless people, in an extremely small and crowded place. The kitchen and reception were in the same area! And again, you could barely walk there.||4. The dorms looked so much smaller and tighter than in pictures. You can barely walk in them! Everyone's stuff is everywhere.||5. The location: near the metro, but you need to walk there (10 minutes). I liked that the Putra mall was nearby. Amazing food court they have with lots of options! Also, if you love shopping, it's a plus. ||6. Check-in is just too complicated.||Bottom line, it's only good for the view, and not even the swimming pool. It looks grandiose in pictures, but it's not in reality. Considering we stayed for 2 weeks in Malaysia, we can confirm you can find so much better for the same price tag. Try the Hilton Garden In hotel line, they are affordable for couples with great value for money, and a 10x better rooftop...
Read moreAmazing view of Twin Towers and east of city from balcony, bed was clean, comfortable and equipped with charger port. There is a gym downstairs, a pool on the roof and a storage locker of moderate size. However I take 2 stars away because no one was at reception when I went to check out during check out hours, the key deposit is 50 ringgit, towel is charged extra, the bathroom or room itself was not particularly clean, and the social atmosphere is a bit strange and cramped. I take another star away because the elevator can take 15 minutes or more to arrive, and if the elevator does arrive sooner it still takes about 15 minutes to get to the nearest subway, that is if you manage to navigate the huge hotel complex by going down through the basement garage outside and up a staircase along a highway, and find and make it through the nearby multi-level mall to the correct exit on the second floor, which all makes checking in and finding the hostel quite difficult, and a significant inconvenience going in and leaving even after you've completely figured out where to go. But I give only one star because the staff were touching my things on multiple occassions. One staff member took my clothes and put it in the drying room without my permission. In that room I found a cockroach, by the way. And I walked in on a receptionist in my room looking on my bed, for what I don't know, and he was not cleaning anything. I did not have anything stolen, it's worth to note, but still reprehensible, a violation of privacy and shows lack of respect for guests and...
Read moreI stayed at this hostel for 3 nights. Booked a bed in a shared two bedroom room, and before travelling I asked the hostel if they could arrange for the other person to be a woman for security reasons. It was my first time travelling alone and I am not used to staying at hotels, so when you travel solo you have to start adjusting to a budget as well as care for your safety. The hostel was helpful and acommodated another girl in my room, who I spent the 3 days with sightseeing and moving around. I was very happy about it!||Then another suprise was the bathroom. Totally new, with European shower and not Malaysian. Super clean and spacious. This was one of my worries because there were no pics anywhere of the bathrooms so I can advise you about this point...you have nothing to worry about! ||Views from the room were stunning towards the Petronas. We had a kitchen that we could use and had free coffee, tea, etc. ||The best part was that infinity pool on the rooftop. It is shared by other apartments, but the three days I went there, the pool wasn't crowded which was great to take pics!||Location: although it is a bit far away from the centre to go walking, it is just 3 stops by train to KL Sentral, or the Mosque. You have a shopping mall just at a 5min walk from the building where you will find many options to eat (even a very reasonable priced Nando's!).||If I go to Kuala Lumpur ever again, I would definitely stay here and I would recommend any solo traveller to book a bed in this hostel, you will...
