Teh Tarik Place — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

I've eaten Teh Tarik place before at The Curve and Sogo and they taste legit.

But here?? Horrible. Nasi lemak has sambal about less than a tablespoon.

Aglio has three prawns, no spinach like in picture, super soggy, super thin spaghetti like as if mihun, taste like the staff never cooked in his life before.

Horrible, terrible. For 8 pax, rm240. Yet food tastes so horrible and frustrating. Like a rip off. We had to just force ourselves to eat coz hungry but paying like vengeful.

Please do not give such a poor service. Teh Tarik Place please check your branch at Sunway Putra here. Unacceptable to rip people off money for expensive food but no taste. Signature? Seriously??

Add: We were also given blank paper and pen and instructed to write our own orders. Huh?? Yet you charge for service charge???

I don't mind paying whatever but I hate feeling cheated. No taste, stingy portions, horrible presentation, no basic service, still so hungry after eating and angry!

I don't accept this, and karma is real.

When I arrived at Ragalia late on my first evening, I was starving and looked at the Teh Tarik and thought that I'd give it a miss.

Two days later and I decided perhaps I am being harsh and I should give it a try after seeing so many people eating there the previous night. What a mistake. The place was almost empty, and yet I waited 20 mins or so for my Laksa. I chose laksa thinking as a Malaysian speciality, they'd be hard pushed to get it wrong.

It was the so disgusting that I couldn't bring myself to eat it. The dish had an overwhelmingly fishy smell to it and half a dead sardine floating on the top. Nothing like any laksa I've ever tasted before. I returned it and it was no surprise that they wouldn't offer an alternative.

Nuff said. Should have trusted my initial instinct. Surprised to see some OK reviews on here. Perhaps I just made a poor choice of dish. If you like Laksa, avoid this one. Better yet, probably just avoid the...
