Honest review, received great service but will not visit again solely because the food are laced with local taste. I say this because i'm a Malaysian and I know how sugar is a problem in this country, everything is focused towards sweetness. I ate sushi from other restaurants, hotels, even down to the chiller of supermarkets, and I can say Sushi Kazoku simply stand out in terms of sweetness. With the way the restaurant is designed, it's eye-catching, comforting, fun and straight up family friendly. It's just the sushi served here is such a unique twist that really blown me away in every bite and it's not a good surprise for me. I'm still very much surprised that this place deep fried the Takoyaki and drown it in sweet sauce, the wasabi packets are so spicy and gassy it's a self-inflicted suffering if you eat it. Thank you, but I really had to be honest. Please try to serve sushi in its most authentic style, when you try too hard to make it special you end...

The food is actually good, especially the ramen. The salmon is also fresh. However, there is something that I found it mannerless. I already booked a seat at the tatami, my partner and I went to the restaurant at 11:05am (my booking is at 11am) . The staff showed us a tatami seat at the back of the restaurant. We sat down and got served our meals. After 5 minutes, the staff told us to move seats Just because a couple and a child wanted our seats. What a disgrace, its mannerless. We already sat down and have our meals over but suddenly we, the one who arrived first need to give our seats to another people who arrived late? Tak beradab. Can't you find another seats for them or what? There is literally another empty tatami seat but you chose the one we sat down?! Even if they are your regulars, you shouldn't treat new customers that way. Obviously the restaurant were only serving 2 or 3 tables at that time....

We visited this place at 9.35pm and was told that they are closed but at last and luckily the owner accepted us and we quickly look at the menu and order. We ordered a Kazuko Bento and Spicy Ramen which my husband love it very much. The taste, was surprisingly delicious and way out of our expectation. I'm someone who hardly posts review but this restaurant is a solid recommendation. We walk away with a satisfied tummy. Definitely will come back again and check out other food menu but what really impressed us is their service. During that hour they still provide fantastic service and refilled our tea and asking us everything ok. Would love this kind of service wherever we go. They made sure everything was tip top but I feel so sorry to them because all surrounding shops are already closed and they still have to wait for us. Kudos to the staffs in...

Came here around 9pm, wasn’t sure what we wanted as the mall offered a variety of cuisines especially at the top floor where this place is. They won us over with the extensive menu from sushi to fresh sashimi to soup. The prices were VERY reasonable. 12 ringgit approx for 8 pieces of California roll sushi was insane - and I definitely recommend trying this or any of their other sushi rolls. And they had a great selection of sashimi which we obviously devoured. The soup we had was a beautiful way to round out the meal and we left with full tummies feeling very satisfied. Wanted to go back before leaving KL but it will have to wait next time. Thanks for the brilliant service and accomodating our big appetites so close to closing time!

Hygiene issue, there were cockroaches. We sat at the tatami area and the floor was full of food bits and crumbs that kept getting stuck on my pants. The seats were also full of stains. Had to ask the staff to wipe the area, but the wiping cloth was also smelly and the food bits got stuck in the wall and creases between the furniture. I had to wipe by myself. Atmosphere is great and the food is okay if you don't mind Malaysian flavoured Japanese food, but I don't think I will come back knowing the place isn't sanitary.
