Home by the sea. This is our second time staying at this resort. We made the booking online via their website and received daily breakfast and afternoon tea as part of the package.
Check-in was easy. Since we are checking out from another resort in Langkawi, we needed to drop our bags before heading out to other attractions. When we arrived at the lobby, the front office staff came over to help with our bags. After confirming our reservation, they straight away took care of the luggage.
We came back to the resort after having lunch and were informed that our room was ready. We just needed to fill in some particular details in the forms, and while at that, we were served with a welcome drink and a cool towel to freshen up. One of the associates, Mr. Putra, took us to our room and explained the type of room given to us and the facilities of the resort.
The room was spacious and had good amenities as well. This time, we got a room next to the swimming pool and the seaview. This room had nice shades from the tree outside the room. There was also a patio for you to rest and view the sea just outside the door.
Upon entering the room, there was a large sofa in the living area for you to rest. A small table and chairs were also part of the living room. So you could actually use your laptop/tablet if you needed to at the table. The room layout was nice, with the bathroom at the back. They also had a bathtub if you wished to relax, and they designed it so that you could have a view of the sea. The shower was separate and had good temperature when you needed a warm shower.
There was also a coffee maker for those who loved to have freshly brewed coffee, even though it was using Nespresso original pods. And they also did not forget some of the guests who loved to have hot chocolate with two packs of Bon Choco provided. The large TV was nice, but sadly, the Bose soundbar did not pair with my iPad/iPhone. Or else, it would be great to listen to some songs from my collection.
We received complimentary breakfast with our bookings. They have a good selection of à la carte menu from Western to Asian and also vegetarian. Just give them time to prepare them fresh for you. During our stay, we tried their egg Benedict, roti jala, dim sum set, curry mee, scrambled egg, and omelette set. Our only comment is their egg Benedict. Not as good as what we had at our hoe by the river. The chef needs to practice more. While waiting for breakfast to be prepared, you can get some items from the buffet line, which I hope will be improved on our next visit.
One nice thing about this resort is their turnaround for your evening. We were away for dinner, and when we came back, the room had been prepared for sleep. Bottled water was next to your side table, hot chocolate or tea was ready to be made, and the room had a nice smell from the spa.
Checking out is also easy. The staff is ever ready to assist you with your luggage; just give them some time to sort them out. Mr. Putra was very helpful in picking them up for us and also sending them into our car. Some names that I remember are Putra, Alwan, Don, Amirul, and Elyn.
Our second visit was so memorable that we decided to stay here again on our next trip...

This was not our first time visiting Langkawi, and we simply wanted a relaxing beachside getaway. Just a few minutes' drive from the airport, this location was perfect.
Rooms: A lot of thought went into stocking the room. We stayed in a beachfront studio suite. We entered through a small front patio into a spacious room equipped with all the amenities — including beach towels, a beach bag, and a bathtub. The shower gel and shampoo had a pleasant scent. The beverage station was stocked with quality Boncafe coffee pods, TWG teas, homemade cookies, and peanuts and a fruit tray. The beds were inviting with comfortable pillows, although I wasn’t a fan of the mattress. It was a tad too hard.
Beach & Pool: The beach was clean, conscientiously kept so by hotel staff and very pleasant. Both beach and pool areas were lined with deck chairs, and there was always space to unwind by the sea. In the evening, a few tables were set up against the stunning backdrop of the sunset over the ocean. The best time was around 7:30 pm, when the lighting dimmed, transitioning into cozy candlelit ambiance. Cars (pulling boats)in and out of the beach were plying on the beach mostly in the morning and evenings. It is something to be careful about
Wi-Fi: Given the small size of the property, I expected good connectivity, and the Wi-Fi throughout the complex was impressively strong.
Food: The meals were satisfactory. One evening, I had a Malaysian platter that was fantastic, especially the prawns. The beef rendang was also quite good, served with a refreshing salad. The chicken and fish dishes tasted fresh and flavourful. The lamb shank masala looked appealing but was less impressive in taste. Breakfast featured a variety of homemade breads and jams — the passion fruit jam was particularly excellent. The breads might have benefited from being served warm. Hot Western and Asian breakfast options were prepared fresh upon order. Malaysia’s tropical fruits — mango, watermelon, dragon fruit, among others — were delicious. We enjoyed breakfast while reading the newspapers provided, a relaxing change from our usual routines. We chose the tranquility package, which included high tea and a spa session. The high tea was beautifully served, with fresh and tasty savory bites. The pastries could have been better except the passionfruit tart which was super good.
Satkara Spa: The one-hour massage by Lyn was incredibly relaxing and seemed to fly by. It was followed by ginger tea. I then had a pleasant chat with Ms. Rajeswary, the spa manager, until others came looking for me.
Service: The staff’s warm and friendly service truly made our stay memorable. Ket, who showed us around the property during check-in; Halim, who assisted with food orders over three evenings; and Nordeen, who took our photos on various occasions — all contributed to a wonderful experience.
Check-out was very smooth. All receipts were printed and organized in sequence, making the goodbye process effortless.

Read moreThis was my first visit to Langkawi, and I had no idea what to expect, but from the moment I arrived, I was captivated. The island welcomed me with perfect weather: warm sun most days, the occasional gentle drizzle, and even a few brief tropical downpours that passed as quickly as they came, leaving the air fresh and the sea glistening.||I originally booked Casa Del Mar Langkawi for six nights, but I ended up staying for fourteen! I just kept extending my stay because I loved it so much. The hotel is small and intimate, with a warm, family-like atmosphere that felt exactly right for me.||||Every morning started the same way: barefoot on the sand, my yoga mat under my arm, I would find a spot by the shoreline, close enough to feel the ocean breeze and hear the rhythm of the waves. The world was quiet except for the soft rush of the tide. I would move through my yoga practice, the rising sun casting a golden shimmer across the water. Afterward came breakfast, a slow walk along the beach, a swim for two kilometers in the open sea each day, and then time to simply enjoy the sun. It was a rhythm I wish I could bottle and take home.||||The property has two floors with different room types. I stayed on the ground floor, and each room has a small private entrance area before you step inside, almost like your own little patio. Mine had chairs and a table, a comfortable daybed with two cushions, and a spot to dry clothes. The room itself was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and everything I needed was there.||||The food here deserves a special mention. Everything I ordered was absolutely delicious, and every single dish exceeded my expectations. I was constantly impressed by the skill and creativity of their chef, who clearly puts so much passion into every plate.||||The hotel offers a good spa. I enjoyed a massage there. ||And the location is perfect: you step right out onto the beach. There are plenty of activities nearby, from jet skiing and banana boat rides to parasailing and local excursions. The hotel also has a pool, though I never used it because the sea was all I needed.||||In the evenings, you can walk along the beach to reach the lively area of Pantai Cenang, where you’ll find shops, cafeterias (but I have never eaten outside the hotel), and a promenade atmosphere. You can return the same way along the sand or through the streets, making for a perfect evening stroll.||||A special thank you to Adila, Putra, Elynn, and Alwan for making my stay truly unforgettable with their kindness, attention to detail, and warm hospitality. My sincere apologies if I misspelled any of your names. Your warmth and professionalism made a lasting...
