Our stay at Langkapuri Resort had some highs and lows. While the location is fantastic, a few aspects left us disappointed.
First Impressions & Check-In
Check-in was super efficient, which was a great start. However, navigating the beach was frustrating. There was no clear process for getting loungers and umbrellas, and we later realized that there weren’t enough for all the guests. The lack of beach towels was another disappointment.
Cleanliness & Room Experience
At first glance, the resort seemed clean, but some details stood out upon closer inspection—like dirty showers and dishes left in the hallway for three days. Our room was well-equipped with everything we needed, and water bottles were resupplied daily. However, we had to ask for basics like toilet paper and shampoo. The biggest issue was our sink, which barely drained. We reported it, but no one ever came to fix it.
Comfort & Amenities
The bed was large and very comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep. The rooftop area was also a highlight—definitely a nice spot to relax. The WiFi, on the other hand, was frustrating. Some kind of security issue kept forcing us to forget the network and reconnect frequently.
Location & Staff
The location is excellent—right by the beach and central to everything in town. However, the staff experience was mixed. Most didn’t acknowledge guests, though occasionally someone would say hello.
Food & Dining
The breakfast had variety but was the same every day. Not bad, but not particularly exciting either.
Overall Verdict
While Langkapuri Resort has a great location and some nice features, there were enough small frustrations that I’d likely choose to stay elsewhere next time—especially considering the better beaches on the north end of the island.

This was not what was advertised, and certainly not what I paid for.Naturally, I immediately contacted customer support, explaining the hazardous and unacceptable condition of the room and requesting a change. Their response was nothing short of infuriating. Not only did they refuse to move me to another room, despite my clear explanation of the issues, but they then had the audacity to demand additional payment to upgrade to a different room! As if it was my fault their advertised room was a disaster. The representative then coldly informed me that I had to "accept it as is.""As is" is a broken, potentially unsafe room that is a far cry from any standard of hospitality, let alone the images they use to lure customers. This is not just poor service; it's deceptive and completely dismissive of a guest's comfort and safety.
