Damascus Cafe — Restaurant in Kedah

Please save your money and eat else where or stay hungry. We ate ( attempted to eat,) here and ordered a variety of food. Chicken and rice, zaatar tortilla, pizza, wraps. Zaatar tortilla was a sad and burnt attempt, it was so crispy it smelt of smoke. The rice and chicken was microwaved, although it was hot, no idea when it was made, the taste wasn’t there and the rice had become hard due to being microwaved. The base of the pizza was a tortilla, no dough base in site! It wasn’t edible. The wraps were probably the only decent thing that could be eaten. We had ordered 3 lemon mints, the first was served and after 1 sip( it was literally just lemon) I sent it back and asked to cancel the other two which I was told wasn’t possible! The 1st lemon mint came back and was drinkable, however we left with the food barely touched £60 out of pocket and still hungry filled with feelings of dissatisfaction, disappointment and wanting to be sick. I went with my husband & 3 kids at 1050pm on 31 January 24, Wednesday..welcome by warm waitress & waiter..we've ordered pepperoni pizza, spgtti blgnese, beef & cheese wrap, beef shawarma set (for take away) & juices for drinks. The food are really nice, we enjoyed their food and the prices are affordable in tourist zone. Guess what?? It only cost of RM140 for 5 of us! Somehow ive accidentally spilled the mango juice, and a quick second the waiter helped me by handed over a box of tissues, he is very aware and well trained. The cook looks young with skillfull cooking experience. I really forgot to notice their name but please sent them our regards. This place is generally crowded in Cenang beach langkawi, we also went there The place is nice and cozy and is a good evening place on the busy street. There were a lot of foreigners, we ordered a Kunafa which was a bit hard and raw in between. The owner also did not accept the fact and did not even apologise. But taste of food was good. Nice people seating in. Thet have pizza , pita breads, shawarma as options. You may visit here and order and have your opinion .
