I do not normally write bad reviews if I do so, It is best to avoid. The Cabin Langkawi A Horrifying night that no one wishes to experience. 0216am Halfway through the midnight, there is road construction that gives us melodies that we would not beg for. While we are asleep. I wanted to take a leak, switch on the lights and suddenly the bulb exploded. My finger jolted back by the small leakage of voltage. Fortunately, none was injured by the shattered glasses that flew out as fast as Usain bolt. The shattered lightbulb is actually only less than a metre distance away on top of our bed. Just imagine your eyes opened when the bulbs burst, it could be the finale of Final destination. I was in shock and totally blinded by the darkness in the room. 0230am I reached out for the door and sat outside the balcony to compose myself. We approached the reception and they were closed. There's a signage that wrote "FOR EMERGENCY" 0XXX-XXXX 0245am We call but no one picked up the phone. Our neighbour was awaken by the commotion and assisted us in making calls that is listed to their(The Cabin) website. This carried on for a good 30 mins and no one is on the other line to assist us. (What if someone is trap in the room) (What if there is a fire occurring) (What is the use of putting contact numbers if they are unreachable) I still have the call logs that I am more glad to refurbish. 0315am We collected ourselves and tried heading to the rest of the hotels on the entire street in Pantai Cenang We walked and enquire almost 15 hotels + calls in other area hotels. All was fully booked as it is a weekend. 0420am We were desperate and our body is draining us out. We approach the 24-hr KFC and literally stone there while waiting for daybreak. 0700am I was beyond frustration and intend to talk it out with the staff at the hotel. It is still close, we have to wait til 8am. 0815am We sat outside the hotel and intended to blast off at the first receptionist that we would come in contact with. 0830am Staff came in a motorbike We explained to her in a nice way and eventually make a hell of a scene as she did not take into consideration how urgent these matter was. The Manager of The Cabin would not come down to see us and pushes the responsibility to the staff. Refund was made and we are more desperate to find a bed than to wish for anything more as The Cabin is beyond hope. 0910am We headed to the beach and requested for a sun tanning chair to take a nap as most of the hotel has room only after 12PM. 1110pm Checked into Nadias Hotel as the staff took sympathy of our episode and hurried their housekeepers to make us a room. We were dehydrated, torn, frustrated, fear of drunkards fooling around, fatigue from pulling our luggage around. Needless to say, The Cabin has the highest amount of mosquitoes flying around and with their caresses being stamped all around in the room furniture. It is equally stuffy in the afternoon as the container traps all the heat. Was greeted with a odour during check in that we felt might be the previous tenant unloaded themselves in a heat of romance with no proper housekeeping done. The Cabin lacks intensive values that an hotelier could provide. If you wish to go through my experience, please book with The Cabin for...
Read moreI would highly recommend this hotel for everyone. The location is great, very close to the beach and the high street but on the other hand it’s quiet. The lights at night are just amazing. They really take care of the garden and it’s just so peaceful and lovely. The rooms are very clean. From our room we had a great view of the garden so even when I was lying in my bed I could just look outside and enjoy the view. The windows are tinted so you can see outside but people can’t see you. When I made the booking I wrote a note that I would like to have one of the specific room (where I stayed before with my husband ) the receptionist - Izzah was so nice and helpful and she went outside and right away took some photos of few rooms to clarify which room do I want. I have never met such a helpful and welcoming host. They were really lovely and made our stay even better. I would definitely stay...
