Went on Friday night on school holiday season around 10pm and the seafood choices were limited, but understandable since it was considered late. Initially wanted to try sotong goreng tepung & ketam but only siakap fish, mussels were available
So me and my partner opted for set A instead which has white rice, chicken tom yum, siakap 3 rasa, sambal belacan & timun, kailan ikan masin, telur dada and choice of drink (sunquick or sirap) which we chose sunquick.
Overall I must say that I don't mind paying such price because the tom yum was SUPER GOOD!!! CREAMY, THICK AND FLAVOURFUL. I honestly did not expect much but they surpassed my expectation and I am not afraid to say it is one of the best tom yum I have ever had in my entire life. Even better than my favourite tom yum in Johnnys or Black canyon.
For the siakap 3 rasa well it was quite mediocre but okay. Sunquick was also very good, even though I expected it to be "cair" but it really tasted like at home where you would bancuh pekat2.
I might come again if I can come early so that it would be easier to find parking and have meal here...
Read moreWe took our dinner here. The ambience is just mind blowing, just on the sea beach. We ordered grill red snipper, king prawn with butter, red chilli squid with plain rice. We also ordered two mango juice. I have been visited so many places & grill red snipper is one of my favourite while I visit islands. Food served in a quick time, we expected 20+ min to serve but in reality they served in 10/12 min. The bulky lady who took the order should be more submissive towards customer. She was rude, honestly Malaysian people are naturally gentle but dont know why she was rude. To me, the food quality is so-so, red snipper wasn't taste good at all (they burned the fish skin too much, salt given a bit more than required), same to the squid (squid one should be a bit gravy, the one we served was too juicy). The best one was king prawn with butter, me and my wife liked that very much. Mango juice could be even better coz it should be a bit more thik (proportion of mango was low). Cost wise its not very cheap, we paid 130RM. According to the payment we made i would say the food taste is...
Read moreFirst night that we went, the service was fast although there's a lot of people. But the second time we went, we need to wait for about 1 hour (It was during weekend & December) Better to order their rice with dishes set rather than ala carte or "goreng-goreng" to make it easier and fast for both parties during peak hours. The Tom Yam is good, the fish is fresh. Overall it is a quite a good dishes. The price is affordable. For this 4pax with extra veggies set it costed around RM150-+ and 5 people can eat it together. Love the watermelon juice with no sugar! You can see firework show after 8pm and above. It is at the Cenang beach itself. Not a lot of nearby parking during night or peak season. You can park at the public parking behind Adya's hotel and walk to the beach 2-3mins.There's other stalls like western food & ice cream stall nearby. There's also a public toilet nearby if you need one. You can pay by both...
