I recently stayed at Nadia's Hotel and unfortunately, my experience was marred by several issues that significantly impacted the quality of our stay. I believe it's important to share these concerns in the hope that the hotel can address them for future guests.
Upon our arrival, we encountered multiple issues with the room amenities. The shower, air conditioning, and television were all initially malfunctioning. While the staff successfully addressed the problems with the shower and air conditioning, the issue with the television persisted. However, to their credit, they promptly offered us a new room where everything was in working order.
The real disappointment began the next day when we returned to our room after a day of exploration to find that housekeeping had not serviced our room. Despite this inconvenience, we decided to overlook it, attributing it to a one-time oversight.
Regrettably, the following day presented a similar situation. Despite informing housekeeping about our room numbers and requesting service during our absence, our room remained uncleaned upon our return. When we brought this to the attention of the housekeeping manager, the resolution process was far from satisfactory. Instead of immediately addressing the issue, the manager allowed the staff to start in a new room without redirecting them to attend to ours. After pointing out this oversight, we were informed that our room would be started in soon.
Frustrated by the lack of responsiveness, we sought to escalate the matter to the hotel manager. However, our attempts to contact the manager proved futile. We were initially informed that the manager would be available on Monday at 11 a.m. When we followed up as instructed, we were told that the manager was in a meeting at the airport and unavailable. The suggested alternatives of emailing or sending a letter were not suitable for us, and when we expressed our desire to speak directly, we were met with dismissive responses and excuses.
This lack of effective communication and problem resolution was highly disappointing. As paying guests, we expected better service and a genuine effort to address our concerns. Unfortunately, Nadia's Hotel fell short in providing a satisfactory solution to what should have been a straightforward matter.
In conclusion, my stay at Nadia's Hotel was overshadowed by these repeated service lapses and the apparent lack of concern for guest satisfaction. We never got to get in touch with the manager. Honestly save your money, there are other hotels at...
Read moreI was treated with double standard treatment by the front office employee - specifically a man with curly hair on the front side. I asked for early check in around 1pm. Firstly, he said my booking thru booking.com needs 15 minutes confirmation and he said there was a room but far at the back. I said ok and i don’t mind as i book for day use only! but need to wait for a while as the room is not ready. So i waited until he start giving early check in for group of guests from foreign country whom arrived after me. In fact some of them are a walk in guests! Seeing unfairness i asked why he was giving early check in to other guests, he obviously didn’t answer my question and plainly said my room was not ready! He started to call the house keeping team in front of me. But they didn’t respond and he just told me the room is bot ready. So i asked him i didn’t hear any feedback?! He said the room is just not ready. So this walk in guests whom didn’t do prior booking can get a room without waiting?! While i was there earlier and fully paid have to wait?! Tried to get help by calling the manager, but of course she would believe his reason blindly that my room was not ready. As she was not there! Im sure other employees are not like this FO employee (hopefully). The professionalism is just non existent - at least from this employee treating local guest. Funny thing not a single apology mention about this situation and he obviously knew i was very upset of how he handled this situation. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you are Malaysian. Unless you’re lucky enough to have another professional employee to attend your checking in process. As a person whom deal directly with the industry- this situation really upsetting. The country spent so much money to promote the industry yet the tourism industry are killing the service level to a very low standard. I booked at different hotel opposite of the road. The service level is way better! No double standard...
Read moreThe hotel is right next to the main cenang beach entrance and that is the ONLY pro. The hotel building is long, mostly deserted and looks more like a repurposed hospital, this was more terrifying in the night. At 2am after the beach activities went quiet, there was loud banging on the doors. A while later we started hearing sounds of an electric drill. 3am is a weird time for construction work/repairs. Was the drilling through the walls or the keyhole? We don't know. The drilling eventually stoped but the banging on the doors continued down the passageway. It would go silent every now and then and then the loud banging on the doors would start all over. There are no peepholes on the doors and hence no way for us to actually see who is on the other side without opening the door which is not recommended and could be very dangerous. My husband once got so annoyed and yelled "who's there" and everything went eerily quiet for a while only for the banging to intensify 15 minutes later. We checked out of the hotel first thing the next morning and I informed the staff at the reception of everything that happened- they just blankly stared at me and murmured among themselves. Didn't even mention that they'd look into it. I am beyond disappointed, just glad we came out of it safe and left the godforsaken place. I would not recommend this hotel ever. If you have no other option but to stay here, please ensure your doors and windows are properly locked and move some furniture against them when you sleep (don't expect to get any sleep with all this chaos) Not sure what kind of people they let in at night, it is absolutely horrifying and...
