SIM VINTAGE VILLA LANGKAWI — Hotel in Langkawi Island

I saw many good review for this villa. However, that doesn't apply to me. First, this villa oversale their room, my booking is 3 room, upon check in they give only 2 room even though I show the booking and the payment as evidence. Before that, I have reconfirm the room a week ago from my check in time as I need to make sure that how many rooms are available in the ground floor as we have elder in our group. They are very clearly to indicated that 2 room was in the ground floor and one room was in the first floor. But comes out one of our booking room is sold. After this incident happen, they give us an "UPGRADE" to a jacuzzi room which is in the first floor with EXTRA PAYMENT. It's their fault for not preparing the room according to the booking made. Why am I needed to pay extra money for it? Finally, they give us no extra charge for that room but also warn us not to use the jacuzzi. When I enter the room, the room was dusty and I still need to call for the cleaner to clean it. When I was showering, there is no shower gel in the jacuzzi room. I asked the counter and they said it was out of stock. At the end, they not even apologize.Its a terrible experience.

In my opinion, Langkawi vintage villa hotel is very good, downtown location, there are swimming pool facilities suitable for children and adults, but should be warned of this hotel policy if our small child or baby urinates at night and is exposed to sheets or beds, even just a little bit of dirt, the hotel will charge a cleaning fee of rm200, however the room tenant has to pay rm100.

When we go on holiday, where do we expect our little ones to urinate on the mattress, things are not expected, I have stayed in many hotels in Langkawi, for example Baron Resort and Langkawi, no one charges like this,

so if there is a family with small children or babies, it is better not to stay in this vintage Langkawi villa hotel, it is not suitable, later you will have to bear the cost for cleaning, want to go on holiday suddenly the cost is so high,

vintage hotels are only suitable for single people with no children, Sorry, in the future if visit Langkawi again, i will not stay anymore at this hotel, Overall...

What a shambles. We booked via an online site and ALL the descriptions are wrong.

Pool was disgusting and we could not use it for the 3 days we stayed.

It states room will be serviced daily - false. They did not enter our room during our stay. We had a full bin in our bathroom which started to smell, no refreshed coffee either.

Pool recliner sunbeds are dangerous... Do. Ot use them.

Internet did not work for 36 hours during our stay, meaning I missed an important training call.. each day they said it will be better... It never was.

The description says restaurant - there is nothing there except a very dangerous microwave (see my photo).

Online description says hot tub - it doesn't exist.

Finally, when we asked for some compensation we were told no and that our online provider had to sort it which they say has to be done at the property.

Room was clean, but we could not leave our window blind open for natural daylight as other guests walked...
