We had an unique glamping experience at Glamz Hills in Brinchang Cameron Highlands that combines modern comfort with the natural beauty of the highlands.
We stayed in the stylish dome tents that equipped with cozy beds, hammocks, bean bags, and private outdoor bathrooms. Basic amenities like coffee-making facilities, hot water kettles, and outdoor dining areas, providing a comfortable and immersive nature retreat .
Located close to attractions such as the Butterfly Garden, Ee Feng Gu Bee Farm, Kea Farm Market, and Sg Palas Boh Tea Plantation.
Although its an unique glamping experience, there are a few considerations to keep in mind: • Challenging Accessibility: The location can be difficult to find, and the pathway to the site may be confusing because it need to access through the carpark of a hotel. (Forgotten the hotel name 😂). It’s advisable to contact the camp owner for detailed directions to the parking area. • Limited Breakfast Options: The simple breakfast provided, two choices Nasi Lemak or English breakfast. • Presence of Insects: Due to its natural setting, presence of mosquitoes and flies are expected. While repellents are provided, bringing additional insect repellent might enhance comfort. • Temperature Variations: It’s raining & cold at nite when we are there. Bring warm clothing to stay comfortable. And it’s kinda cold when showering at night at the private outdoor bathrooms.
This place is very quiet at night, to the point where we can clearly hear conversations from neighboring tents…till the point that we had to whisper to avoid disturbing others 😂😂😂. Alll in all it’s a memorable glamping...
Read moreLocation - it’s easy to find the place if you really follow the direction given upon booking. You surely wont find it if you rely on waze / google maps. Yes the parking lots are dark gloomy and scary, but rest assured, once you find their signboard, there’s a door beside it to the glam site. There is a cctv at the parking lots but still park at your own risk.
Room - Glad that we got a beautiful clean room with a nice garden entrance. Take note that not all room have this kind of entrance. For a glamping experience, it’s quite luxurious since they provide toiletries including toothbrushes, towels, hairdryer, kettles, hot drinks, etc. Room, toilet and courtyard are exceptionally clean and well kept. It’s chilly at night that you might turn off the fan but got too hot during the day. There are two cute kittens at the courtyard, they are very hungry so be careful that they might become aggressive if you eat outside unless you know how to handle them like we do 😉 Btw, rooms are not soundproofed. It could get quite annoying at times as you could hear people walking and talking outside.
Breakfast - You will be given two breakfast options; Malaysian or Western. We had the western one and it is quite a decent breakfast. To be honest, the breakfast are quite full filling.
Hospitality - Thankfully we experienced great hospitality from the staffs there. Upon arrival, a male staff carried up our luggage to the room. The lady staff is very friendly and nice all the time.
P/s: I experienced a nightmare there and started to scream in sleep at 4am in the morning that my husband had to wake me up abruptly. Well, I guess stay at your...
Read moreBreakfast is included in the price contrary to the believe of the staff that breakfast is complementary! When guest check in, have in mind that they have been on a journey to get here and atleast need a place to drop their luggage or belonging before the military style tour of their room and how to use the amenities there. You are in an hospitality business and being hospitable is the least of expectations. Great location and great place but the service is less than one star. We arrived there from zenith and got there earlier than the check in time but that could have been related to us nicer than having us feel that we are coming to a private home uninvited! We had to fight over the payment of the steamboat cause the staff asked after our room tour if “we had paid” which we replied yes we have and had receipt for this not knowing she meant “paid for the steamboat”. We were not asked what we would have for breakfast for the second day as maybe this is not expected for one to stay more than a night and were left to wonder if we were going to have breakfast or what we were having until almost breakfast time and after complaining we were reminded that breakfast was “complementary” even if we clearly saw breakfast was included in the price! We left the breakfast there and promptly checked out cause we didn’t leave kl to Cameron to have free breakfast! I wish I could be more nicer with this review as this is a nice place but I am frankly stating facts of our experience at Glamz hills. I hope that this is looked into for others seeking to try the glamping experience but we will not be...
