My experience in Masson Hotel is not really as pleasant as I thought it would be.
Whilst the other receptionists were quite lovely to us there is one male chinese receptionist who is so rude and disrespectful. He refused to open the door for us (it was late at night) and asked us to tap ourselves in and immediately stopped us from entering the lift and accused us of booking 1 room for 4 people. We corrected him and said we booked 2 rooms for the 4 of us, and instead of apologising like any reasonable person would, he then told us to take the stairs. I can’t believe he instructed us to take the stairs when we are ok to wait for the slow moving lift!!! I was so angry, we paid about RM760 for 2 rooms and got treated like trespassers! If it wasn’t because I was really tired from the journey, that rude receptionist would have gotten a piece of my mind. He has no manners, very rude, disrespectful & not hospitable at all. I wonder how anyone would let him work at the counter and talk to hotel guests??????
Anyway, that really marks my view of this hotel and its treament to hotel guests.
Apart from that the room is just so-so, the aircond sucks, the towels are not clean and even got stains on them, there is no kettle to boil water, and the iron provided for hotel guests is quite sad looking and functioning as sadly. Parking is a nightmare here, and there’s bird poop everytime you park around the area. I had to send my car to a car wash in the middle of the night.
I will not go to this place ever again, but I wouldn’t be complaining this much if it’s not because of the rude male chinese receptionist who really just ruined the experience...
Read morePros: Clean rooms, nice concept here's where I give the extra star. Cons: A single door separates your room from the next, not the standard double doors. Sound TRAVELS and I can hear distinct conversations and constantly subconscious about my door being opened. (It certainly sounds like it) Smells travel, woke up to smells of the restaurant downstairs. Came back to the smell of cigarettes No proper ceiling insulation (3rd floor) you can see light peering through the edges of the down lights on the ceiling board and I guess that's where the smell and my mosquito friend came in from No parking bays allocated for hotel guests and no consideration nor warning on where to park. Locals would tell you not to park under the trees overnight as they are home to crows. My car is now a Jackson Pollock painting of poo Lift under maintenance during checkout and I had to walk 3 floors with my luggage. (Full disclosure, it was 12.15pm and well within any allowable grace period) My room card was deactivated at 11.45pm instead of after checkout Bedsheets and towels strewn across the hallway floor when they cleaned (before 12pm, mind you). Any guests not checked out would have to traverse through a minefield of bed linens to get...
Read moreVery rude Chinese male receptionist. No manners at all.
I arrived at the hotel at 3.50am, due to traffic jam. Checked out around 8.20am. In the morning when I was about to shower and I noticed that they did not provide me a towel. So I mentioned to the receptionist that that did not provide me a towel during my check out.
Then this rude Chinese receptionist accusing me that I have taken their towel and will need to forfeit my deposit.
I even used my own towel that I brought from home!
They told me that I will need to inform them during check in. Please put yourself into my shoe, after stuck in the traffic for hours, arrived in the middle of the night, who will check if the hotel provided the towel?
Terrible experience. Never encounter such problems at other hotels. Rude receptionist, never talk politely too.
