Dear manager on duty (04/11/2021), just an overview on what happened today. We were told to wait for 30mins for table after placed the order. The waiter told us that she will call if table is available later. Then we decide to go somewhere else while waiting for that call but she didnt call. After some time passed we return back to boatnoodle only to find out most of the order we placed are unavailable anymore. The excuse we received from her is that your side is short of staff therefore not able to clean up the table and call us. But most important why is that our meals are left unavailable at that moment. By the time we queued there are many customer behind us. Should your side reserved the meals for us first? Why we bother paid the service chrge n service tax only to receive this kind on service?
Here a piece of advice to you as a manager. Pls educate n train your staff. First, to be well mannered (pls apologize if the reason caused from your side). Second, pls check beforehand the remaining food left before you take order from next customer (if the rule first come first serve then why bother asked us customer to wait?). Fyi, i were once a waiter myself (francise restaurant) and certain time during peak hours n public holiday, this kind of incident will tend to happen. Its best if you can hv a proper way to handle customer while multitask. After all, she's not working at 'warung' or mamak stall where customer didnt pay for the...
Read moreThe food quality and taste fell far short of my expectations. Their popular RM2.80 Ayutthaya noodle bowl was disappointing — just a mouthful of undercooked noodles with a few strands of raw beansprouts, all soaked in an overly sweet broth. The Pad Thai was inedible: a sticky clump of undercooked rice noodles drowned in a sugary sauce, bearing no resemblance to the authentic dish.
The Lava Egg Kra Pow Rice looked promising on the menu but turned out to be just a plate of rice topped with another overly sweet minced chicken stir-fry. Frankly, you can get a far better basil chicken rice from a hawker stall at half the price. The Popeye’s Crunchy Tempura was yet another letdown — overpriced kangkung leaves deep-fried in tempura batter without much flavor.
The only redeeming dish of the night was the "Ayam Legend." Grilled to perfection with flavorful, crisp skin and tender, juicy meat, it was complemented beautifully by a dipping sauce that struck a wonderful balance of sourness and spiciness. It was the one highlight that somewhat salvaged an otherwise disappointing RM78 dinner.
Taste may be subjective, but based on this experience, I won't be returning. I sincerely hope the restaurant considers hiring chefs who are more knowledgeable in authentic Thai cuisine. You can, and...

I recently dined at Boat Noodle Restaurant, a place with a great atmosphere that's perfect for family outings.
The ambience is warm with a charming Thai-inspired decor that adds to the overall dining experience.
The service is well-organized, though I did have to wait a bit longer than expected for my order.
Food:
Ayam Legend: The sauce has a good flavor, but the chicken itself was a bit soggy and dry, which detracted from the dish.
Crunchy Popeye's Tempura: This dish was served warm, but it was over-fried, making it a bit too crunchy. After more than three pieces, it becomes a bit overwhelming. However, the sauce was surprisingly good and added a nice touch.
Pathumani: This was the highlight of my meal. Although small in size, it packs a big punch of flavor. I highly recommend this dish, though be aware that it's just a two-bite portion, so you might want to order more than one.
