Kapitan Signature — Restaurant in Penang

This is one of the branches of Kapitan restaurant. Famous for its tandoori chicken, malani chicken and many more. I had the chicken briyani, rice is flavourful, fluffy and nice. The chicken breast that comes with it is okay, quite tender. This branch is equipped with air conditioning which is kinda nice. The restaurant is clean and does not have the oily or smoke smell. The food portion is big especially the briyani rice. Suggest to cut like 1/5 portion of the rice and offer free rice top up if not adequate. My son and I had a late breakfast here as it was convenient and close to the hotel that we were staying in. On the first day, we just had drinks and it was a nice place to catch up with friends as it was not crowded. On the second visit, we ordered some food : naan cheese, regular naan, some muttin kimma and drinks. Best surrounding and taste good. Food price is higher for some item such as drinks. Soft drinks rm4 is the cheapest one. Chicken tandoori is one of the few best tandoori i ever taste. For lamb biryani, i think need a change. I prefer using lamb cube instead of shoulder cut and grill. Bcs the way they serve the lamb is gonna make your teeth pluck out. Hard, cold and chewy. Will do come back once in a while. Cannot everyday coz gonna rabak your wallet.
