I checked into the Kampung Cina Hotel on 15th September 2022, on short notice due to a sudden unavoidable change of plans later that evening. On 16th September 2022, I checked out as planned, to continue on my holiday, on the other side of KT. However, I realized on the 17th that I had left my Dermalogica facial product worth RM252 at the hotel. It was a careless mistake on my part and I didnt expect to get it back. I contacted the hotel merely to ask if it was in the room. And it was there but the housekeeping had accidentally disposed it. The following events, to my surprise, was nothing I expected. Firstly, the hotel was quick to reply and check for me. They then offered to look for it on Shopee so they could courier it back to KL. When the product was no longer in stock on the Malaysian Dermalogica website, they told me they were going to refund the money to me. Never have I come across such amazing service. The time and effort they took to repay me back is exceptional as I dont think other hotels would go to this extend. Plus, it was a mistake partly from me. The money was then banked into my account immediately. This hotel definitely deserves another stay in future. Thank you again so much to the management. I had a comfortable stay there and this gesture topped it off with a deservedly 5 star rate. I really appreciate it Kampung...
Read moreThis hotel is a hidden gem in Chinatown! They don’t have a big or significant signage on the front, hence most may have overlooked or mistaken it for some peranakan boutique. But once you spot them, you know this stay is going to be comfortable and pleasant. They’re relatively new and squeaky clean! Spacious and the airflow is great within the premises! Cosy with elegant interiors and lots of natural light. Plus points for the strong water pressure, strong wifi, basic toiletries, indoor sandals, and windows! They even have Netflix access for all their rooms. How amazing! Awesome pantry with freshly grinded coffee, free for all guests. The fish pond and plants in the background makes one feel like being back in nature.||The only drawback is you might have to walk up flights of stairs to your room, especially if you’re carrying heavy bags. Rooms are not soundproof, the occasional loud slam of doors or neighbours' chatters can be heard, especially in the morning.||Nevertheless, it’s a strategic location to all yummilicious eateries nearby (breakfast, lunch and dinner). The staff are friendly and helpful too. Suitable for both business and personal travellers. Highly...
Read moreStayed at Deluxe Twin room and glad that we got the ground floor as it meant we don’t have to carry out luggage up the stairs (no elevator in the building). However, ground floor does have more noise and we can hear cars & motorbikes passing by, as well as some loud chatters from other guests who came down the stairs. Room is decent and just nice enough for two persons. Simple and economical considering its location being close to Chinatown. However, the bathroom doesn’t have ventilation and it feels a little too humid after shower. Also, the divider between shower and sink is not covering well enough so the bathroom floor will be drenching wet after each shower. I like that the hotel provides filtered water at the sink out Friendly reception service. I will recommend this place to others and come again...
