Top Deck Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Isle Mauritius

The food here is great but the real testament to our experience and the reason we came back twice during our vacation is because of our waiter. We didn’t get his name but he’s slim and possibly quite new - Mauritian man (NOT the one with spiky hair). The slim waiter was professional, swift, and an absolute pleasure.

We loved our first time here but the second time was slightly marred by the rugby - as the bar got busier, the quality dipped somewhat in atmosphere and food compared to our first time. We’re not rugby people so we might have found it more jarring than the average person.

However, our waiter was top class and Neo’s is so lucky to have him on board - his presence saved our second visit atmosphere-wise. The South African man and woman (possibly the owners) are also super personable and friendly. It feels like a real family vibe between the...

The atmosphere is great - relaxed service and good vibes all around. The top terrace is overlooking the bay and views are very nice. You can even see bats flying by occasionally.

Food is tasty and fresh, portions are generous and the barman makes some mean Piña Coladas and Mojitos🍹👌

The highlight was definitely the staff. Really sorry we don’t know the barman’s name and the server who were on dinner duty on 5th December - they were both great.

We did take the waitress’s name, Jane. Although she was not on dinner duty on 5th, she was there twice previously. She is fantastic and a real asset to the team. Funny, very attentive but not intrusive and really cares, clearly a hard worker.

Well done for putting together a great team, we hope the place will go from strength...

A Hidden Gem by the Sea This charming restaurant and bar, with around 20 tables, offers the perfect mix of relaxed atmosphere, delicious food, and beautiful sea views. I enjoyed a fabulous cocktail at the bar, then lounged on the inviting outdoor sofas, soaking in the scenery. The vibe is laid-back yet welcoming, with friendly, attentive service that makes you feel right at home.

The menu is varied and caters to all tastes — from curries, burgers, and grilled dishes to fresh seafood, vibrant salads, sandwiches, and classic fish and chips. There are great vegetarian options too, so everyone’s covered. It’s also child-friendly and feels safe, making it ideal for families as well as couples or friends looking to unwind.
