WE RESERVED A BLOCK OF ROOMS FOR MY DAUGHTERS WEDDING AND OVER 15 ROOMS WERE RESERVED. MOST OF THE GUESTS HAD TROUBLE GETTING SPECIAL PRICE QUOTED UNTIL MY DAUGHTER SPOKE TO THEM OVER 3 TIMES. I RESERVED HONEYMOON SUITE FOR 2 DAYS AS A GIFT FOR THE BRIDE AND GROOM AND HAD A SET PRICE OF $290.00 AND WHEN I PAID THEY CHARGED $300.11 GIVING ME ALL KIND OF EXCUSES ABOUT THE DOLLAR TO PESO EXCHANGE. HOW IS IT THAT OTHER ROOM I RESERVED FOR US CHARGED ME CORRECTLY AND THE OTHER ONE DIDN'T . BOTH WERE PAID WITH SAME CREDIT CARD AND AT THE SAME TIME. THE $10 WASN'T THE ISSUE, IT WAS THE FACT THAT I HAD PROOF BY EMAIL OF SET PRICE AND THEY STILL DIDN'T HONOR IT. NEVER DID THEY APOLOGIZE FOR THAT . WHEN I CALLED RECEPTION TO CONFIRM BREAKFAST FOR SUITE THEY SAID IT WASN'T INCLUDED WHEN I HAD PROOF IT DID. ONCE THEY TRANSFERED ME TO RESERVATION THEY SAID IT WAS AND TO NOT WORRY ABOUT IT. THEY GO DOWN FOR BREAKFAST AND THEIR NAMES DIDN'T APPEAR UNTIL THEY CALLED HEAD WAITER AND HE SAID TO LET THEM IN. WHEN I CHECK IN TO MY OWN ROOM THE NEVER EXPLAINED TO ME THE FACT THAT I HAD TO KEEP CARD IN SLOT TO ACTIVATE LIGHTS. CALL ME STUPID BUT THEY CAN'T ASSUME WE ALL KNOW HOW EACH HOTEL RUNS. I CHECKED IN AT 3 AM AFTER THE WEEDING AND NO BATHROOM LIGHTS AND DIDN'T WANT TO BOTHER MAINTENANCE. NEXT MORNING, NO LIGHTS AGAIN UNTIL I ASKED ONE OF THE CLEANING LADIES AND THEN SHE EXPLAINED TO ME WHY AND SHOWED ME. NEXT DAY I LEAVE AT 11AM TO TAKE FAMILY OUT, RETURN AT 4:30PM AND ROOM WAS NOT YET CLEANED UNTIL I CALL TO REQUEST IT. ( AND THIS IS IN EXECUTIVE ROOM, WICH ONLY DIFFERENCE FROM REGULAR ROOM IS A COFFEE MAKER WITH NO INGREDIENTS TO MAKE IT ) I CALLED FOR LUGGAGE CARRY OUT FOR MY ELDERLY FAMILY MEMBERS AT ANOTHER ROOM AND THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I WOULD NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN. TO EXPENSIVE FOR THE SERVICE THEY GIVE. RECEPTION AND RESERVATION ARE NOT IN COMMUNICATION AS TO WHAT IS INCLUDED OR NOT. I HAVE STAYED IN CHEAPER HOTELS WITH CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST INCLUDED AND THEY PROVIDE THE BASIC COFFEE MAKER, MICRO AND SMALL FRIDGE. ONLY REASON WE USED THIS HOTEL IT WAS IT'S CLOSENESS TO VENUE WICH MADE IT SIMPLE FOR OUT OF TOWN FAMILY TO GET THERE . I'M SO DISSAPOINTED AT OUR STAY THERE. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND YOU TO STAY THERE AND IF YOU DO DON'T EVEN BUY WATER CAUSE THEY CHARGE A HEFTY PRICE OF $7 FOR 2 I LT BOTTLES. AND BREAKFAST BUFFET AT $17.00 PER PERSON....

It used to be a great place if not the best for Sunday Brunch in Tijuana. The most expensive but worth it.

Everything would be fresh from the fruit to the steaks being grilled to one's delight, larger variety of fresh and cooked food, regular sushi and "fresh" oysters.

Today we arrived before noon to see empty serving trays, never saw an oyster (only an empty serving tray), TERRIBLE: ceviche, menudo (tripe in red water with hard hominy grains), baked goat, paella (just plain sh..t!!!), dry tamales, terribly dry carnitas and for desert bunches of dry distasteful pieces of something made with sugar, milk and dough.

Mimosas okay (difficult to mess that up), fruit, refried beans, scrambled eggs with salsa verde, omelette station, coffee and beverages: okay but nothing to brag about.

Very loud live and recorded music, you can't have a conversation unless you're yelling at people sitting next to you.

I mentioned my concerns to our server to which I learned that the chef used to be a Frenchman: not anymore (they just took the "toque" and put it on some cook's head that isn't paid as much) thus the FOOD IS BLAND, no variety in hot sauces, no more grill steak station or fresh "sopes" and "gorditas" station.

The whole ambiance is just as bland as the terrible food is, but the place is crowded and you must wait in a long line for your turn to punishment.

Three adults and one child: $105.00 dlls: NOT WORTH IT....!!!!!

I WILL NEVER RETURN, the price is not equivalent to the quality of food... its not Camino Real anymore...!!!......

Horrible service at front desk. Hardly answer their phone when needed. Jaime and Sergio, bell boys are awesome. They both are very prompt to help and go over beyond their job to try to make it easier for tourists. I had a reservation made when I came out of surgery and my room wasn't ready when discharged from the clinic and all I wanted was to lay down and rest. Sergio the bell boy went ahead, spoke to, and pushed the front desk staff to make it quicker as I was in pain. Restaurant staff most of them were rude. Super slow service. We would be there sitting waiting for a while before someone would take our order. Super slow when requesting the bill after eating as well. On the 25th, I ordered my last room service as I was heading home on the 26th. The server who attended was so rude. I had an open account but he refused to charged that on my room. I told him I didn't had any mexican pesos with me but he raised his voice and proceed to go half way inside my room and said I could pay in American dollars. I said again, I have an open account, it is charged to the room and he still refused to saying I didn't. I had to use my American money for that service and head to front desk and ask if I still had an opened account for Restaurant charges and they said absolutely. I told them what had just happen and they didn't say more than " but you do have an open credit" not even caring about my complaint about the rude server. Cleaning staff was very pleasant people and...

Been staying here off and on for the last 2 years because it's always a safe, clean and very well maintained hotel. The staff is always friendly and helpful no matter what time of day or night. We like to leave our car on the property and walk or take taxi to other places so we don't hassle with parking anywhere else. But yesterday as we were getting ready to leave we decided to order room service instead of going downstairs to the restaurant or anywhere else. Which by the way the restaurant is quite nice but there will usually be a bit of a wait, especially on the weekends. Anyway, I ordered the syncronizada ranchera which was supposed to be topped with an egg and salsa. What I got was the plate in the 2nd picture no egg. I called the restaurant and one of the staff came over and told me that they put the salsa on the side because it's very spicy. There was a salsa there but ketchup would have been spicier than it and I don't eat spicy food. I was about 1/2 way done with what I was brought when they brought the dish in the 1st pic, which actually looks like what I should have received in the first place. Other than this "distasteful" incident, I recommend El Real Inn. Plus on Saturdays there's karaoke and although it's usually the karaoke guy doing all the singing, it's good entertainment while you enjoy some drinks.
