El Muchacho Alegre Tijuana — Restaurant in Baja California

i wanted to try something new in tijuana, we saw el muchacho alegre and decided to give it a try, my wife order fajitas with arranchera and shrimp, it was the worst tasting and looking fajitas we have ever tried, the vegetables looked like they just cut them put them on the pan for 20 seconds and the shrimp the same thing, the vegetables as you can imagine were close to raw you can imagine how the fajitas tasted, and the shrimp didn't taste like nothing either, i don't know about you guys but for me this are not the fajitas i would expect at a restaurant in Tijuana, i order a ribeye steak, i asked if i can change the baked potato for french fries, server said yes they brought around 7 french fries and my steak, but that wasn't the worst when i try the steak it didn't have any taste, its like they didn't even bothered to seasoned with at least salt, i asked for sauce for my oysters. and they said they didn't have any bottle sauces, i don't know about you but in Tijuana is rare when you're disappointed about a restaurant everything i have try tastes really good, i go almost every month to eat in Tijuana, I've been doing this for the last 5 to 6 years, as you can imagine i have eaten from tacos all the way to the fanciest restaurant and i have to say this is the worst restaurant i have ever visited...

This is a terrible place. Very dishonest people. Was staying in ahotel down the street and decided one evening to get some finger food and check the place out. upon arriving i got swarmed by at least 4 waiters that all wanted to take my order. I asked for menu and they gave me one. so i picked 3 things that i wanted to try. Food was decent and fairly tasty. When asking for a check they brought me a bill that was more than double than it was showing on the many. When i pointed it out they told me that the menu i have is old and they have a new and revised menu which they quickly presented to me. Everything in that menu was more than double than the in first menu they gave me. Taco went from 45 peso to 95 peso. A typical switch and bait scam. I asked them why giving me an old menu to begin with, they just shrugged and insisted i pay the much higher amount. I decided i do not want to argue and just paid. When leaving the waiter was swearing at me for not giving him a Tip on top of the amount the scammed me. anyway, it is a...

To begin with, 15 minute wait to be seated when 80% of the restaurant was available. Very slow service, they were filming a commercial for the restaurant and management felt the commercial was more important than the customers. Ordered the pulpo with adobado sauce, served with expired adobado sauce from a can and undercooked pulpo. Condescending manager replaced it with another pulpo 1 HOUR LATER, bad move, i should of walked away instead and go eat at the taco stand outside the restaurant.

3 days later and am still sick from food poisoning. Lesson learned!!!
