So while visiting Baja California I didn't want to leave my room that day, it was SO hot. So instead I ordered delivery from Cafe De La Flor. Club sandwich and crepes with fruit, simple, right? Not in TJ. First off the food is fresh, when I say FRESH! I mean like nothing was prepared ahead of time and nothing is processed. The sandwich was THICK! Bacon was crunchy but soft, bread was toasted and stacked high, meat slices were flavorful! Now the crepes, wow! They take the crepe smother Nutella in it then they add strawberries and bananas inside it fold it over and drizzle more Nutella and fruit on top. Once again we're back to fresh, the crepe was warm and you know how quick bananas turn brown? Not in this case. You could see the pattern in the fruit that they were cut recently. I wish I could have seen the layout of the restraunt itself but like i said it was a scorcher. I definitely would go here again. This place seems great for those non-adventurous Americans that are craving something simple with a slight Baja flair. 9/10...
Read moreFood isn’t bad however the service was absolutely TERRIBLE! My parents go eat there every 2 weeks, they have never encountered such terrible service as our last visit. Even they do NOT want to go back. My mom asked for hot coffee, it was cold. She asked to get it reheated and it still came back warm. My aunt asked for cup of ice and server forgot about it, didn’t come back until 30 min later with room temp water. My mom’s food was cold as well as my aunts, asked if they could heat it up, server gave us attitude. My aunt asked to get her food boxed up and server never boxed it. In fact no one knew where the leftover food went. I asked to speak to the manager and even she was not helpful. She had an attitude and I could see the server have an attitude as well when manager approached her about this situation. Manager apologized and gave us a dessert as an apology. Horrible experience and we still had to pay the full bill of over 1,000 pesos. Will not...
Read moreDefinitely staying on my list of go-to’s while in Tijuana! I appreciated the designated valet service that came with dining. My hubby and I went in around brunch time and we were seated immediately. Wow! The menu was very extensive but we both stuck with Chilaquiles which came with frijoles and potatoes. They had like 8 different types of chilaquiles sauces to pick from and we went with the poblano and chipotle crema ones. They’re probably one of the top restaurant chilaquiles I’ve had!!! So yummy.
Can’t forget the amazing, fresh Cafe de Ollá that came in a French press, that I got to press myself!!! It was so yummmmmy. The drink menu was big too, and initially I was really divided on what to drink because all the beverages I saw looked great!!! It was between a fresh juice and a cafe de ollá, although I loved my coffee I’m still kinda longing to try one of the fresh juices but I get full easily, so until...
