Apartamentos Viento Suites Cancun — Hotel in Cancún

Worst apartment rental I have ever stayed in -- incompetent and rude management. Save yourself the headache and stay elsewhere.

I reserved 9 nights in a 2-bedroom apartment and there were numerous problems we encountered including miscommunication and misinformation from the employee that did our reservation.

The first night, we were told the cleaning ladies were sick and our apartment was still dirty, so we had to stay in 2 separate rooms, then move to the 2-bedroom apartment the following day. We weren't even offered a discount despite us having no kitchen the first night. We were also promised a 10-11am moving time the next day as I had a jaw surgery scheduled for 11:30am, but we were told in the morning that there was a mistake and the 2-bedroom apartment was actually occupied by somebody else so we couldn't move-in till later. The owner tried to tell us it is because the employee we spoke to had covid and made an error. We were clearly lied to the night before to get us to make the reservation at the apartment. We paid the bill in cash. 2 days later, they tried to tell us that we didn't pay the full bill and needed to pay another 500 pesos. This turned out to be an error on the part of the management. At the end of the stay, I tried extending 3 nights and was given a confirmation to stay in the same room with the kitchen. The day of our original checkout, I was told I was actually reserved a different room without a kitchen. I needed a kitchen to cook my food as I had a fractured jaw and ended up having to pack all my food and move last minute to another Airbnb. The host was extremely rude about the situation and tried to claim it was my fault.

Absolutely perfect! We stayed here recently for 11 days in a suite with one-bedroom and kitchenette. It was perfect all around. We had such a great experience.

It is located in a nice quiet area. The rooms are modern and super super clean. Everything we needed was available including dishes, pots and pans, and even dish soap! It even has a little pool in the back with a nice waterfall. Everything here is fantastic.

It was a really smooth check-in and check-out process.

Cassi and Mari were so helpful, attentive and kind. Always smiling and happy! They even anticipated our needs and provided us with things without us even needing to ask. For example, they even made the available workspace more comfortable for our child to do some schoolwork, without us even requesting it. It was such a kind gesture!

We have stayed in Cancun more than 10 times and at different places but this place was great. The location is amazing, a short walk to Plaza Las Americas Mall and the Chedraui Selecto SuperMarket. It is a 20 min ride to the beach, but if you are not interested in staying in the Hotel Zone or on the beach, it is the perfect place.

It is also located across from a hospital, which made us feel at ease in case of an emergency and close to a large Wyndham hotel on the corner. This was helpful for planned excursions because the Excursion bus picked us up right there at the Wyndham.

This hotel was wonderful except for one problem which was a big problem for me and my four children - the water in the showers. That was awful. The water would switch from freezing cold to burning hot throughout the shower and it was impossible to make it the right temperature and keep it that way for the duration of the shower. I didn’t take one shower that was pleasant in terms of water temperature the entire time I was there. Something needs to be done about the hot water heaters. Otherwise this hotel was very well located, the cleaning ladies were very helpful and kind, and the hotel was in a safe neighborhood with convenient parking for the car I rented.
