BE HOLBOX HOSTEL — Hotel in Isla Holbox

I do not recommend this hostel to anyone, the services promised were poor: the internet connection is practically absent although the Wi-Fi of the nearby structures worked and the ATM payment did not work. Wi-Fi is turned off at night from midnight to 9 am, the same for the kitchen which is locked from 10 pm to 8 am, if you were hungry before anything could be done. the whole kitchen is then used every day by the attendants who cook for the staff and the stoves are 4.the lokers in the room could be open by every key so it doesnt really feel Safe to leave there Money and documents. the structure that promotes eco-tourism does not even have differentiated garbage for plastic. the staff is what made us angry and disgusted more, we chose a female room to have more privacy and being in 3 women, returned from the sea we were intent on washing and changing, a nude sleeping and I naked that I put the after sun , the room could only be opened with the key, without knocking the staff guy comes in and seeing me naked he continues to stay in the room to show the room to a woman also embarrassed by the situation. honestly I found it a lack of respect. finally, on the day of check-out, they decided to keep the deposit because I had changed the bed they had given me while on the rules we read together that if I wanted I could do it with the consent and I had it from the girl at the reception who at that moment pretended to not having heard about it, what more they Gold me i was i liar and i suggested to look at the secutiry camera so they menaced me to call the Police... a really bad hostel and not even as nice as a structure. there are much better ostellia holbox at...

Das Hostel an sich ist ok, zentral gelegen. Die Zimmer, abgesehen vom Sand (der kein größeres Problem darstellt, akzeptabel sauber... |eine Bar neben den Zimmern sorgt abends für entsprechende Kulisse- die Bar ist aber freundlich und hat gute Preise...|Es gibt keine angepriesene Klimaanlage: |Die Ventilatoren in den Zimmern verteilen den mief der Jugendherberge nur, sorgen für extreme (stürmische) Zugluft und verursachen die Geräuschkulisse eine militärischen hubschrauberlandeplatzes... |auch das angepriesen im Preis inbegriffene Frühstück wurde spontan abgeschafft und war nicht mehr inbegriffen... |Das Personal... naja. Man sollte fließend Spanisch sprechen können... aufzuverlässigkeit ist nicht zu hoffen; ich hatte extra angekündigt dass ich am abreisetag vor 8 abreisen müsse, um meine Fähre zu bekommen... das Personal, was im selben Zimmer wie ich schlief, (ich wüsste nicht das es auch die Frühschicht war...)bequemte sich erst zu um 8 an den Schalter. Natürlich verpasste ich die fähre... der Pfand für den Schlüssel wurde dann mit der Begründung einbehalten, ich hätte ja das Bett ohne Genehmigung gewechselt. Ja, an meinem anreisetag war das Zimmer lediglich durch 3 andere Personen(wovon 2 an der Rezeption arbeiten- was ich erst später erfuhr...) besetzt. Mein zugeteilter Spind war komplett belegt (durch die Sachen vom im Zimmer schlafenden Personal!!!!!!!) so dass ich einen anderen Schlüssel hierfür erfragen musste. Da bis spät abends ein unteres Bett frei war, wechselte ich von einem oberen Bett nach unten. Zumal ich mit meinem gebrochenem Fuß die Leiter kaum nach oben kam. Das zugeteilte Bett war zwar unbenutzt, - ich hatte lediglich einmal drauf gesessen und meinen Rucksack darauf liegen- also wechselte ich natürlich mit meinem „Umzug“ Die Bettwäsche. Dem kurz darauf ins Zimmer kommenden Personal sagte ich ich sei in das untere Bett aufgrund meines gebrochenem Fußes gewechselt. „Ok, no Problem“ war da noch die Antwort.. „kein Geld für schlüsselpfand zurück wegen unerlaubten bettenwechsel“ dann die Aussage bei Abreise. |Schönen Dank auch!!!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬 nie wieder...

It's a nice place with friendly staff. Dorm is small, but clean. Breakfast is a bit poor, but a supermarket is just around the corner. My major problem is that the dorms upstairs are directly next to the bar and "party" area. The music was blasting every night, way after 11 or 12 pm when allegedly the bar should have closed making it impossible to sleep. Another problem is when it rains it can rain also inside the dorm... They sell tickets for the ferry & bus back to cancun, however if one buys the early morning ticket, it’s a bit of a struggle and discussion to get the deposit back as the reception...
