Chimichurri on Isla Mujeres is an absolute gem that deserves all five stars. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxed, perfect for a casual meal after a day at the beach.

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the beef empanadas. They were hands down the best I have ever had. The crust was perfectly golden and flaky, encasing a savory, flavorful filling that was seasoned to perfection. Each bite was a delightful combination of textures and tastes that left me craving more.

The chicken sandwich with avocado was another standout. The chicken was tender and juicy, complemented beautifully by the creamy avocado and fresh, crisp vegetables. The sandwich was well-balanced and incredibly satisfying, making it a perfect choice for lunch or dinner.

The service at Chimichurri was impeccable. The staff were friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about the food they serve. They made sure we had everything we needed and were happy to provide recommendations.

Inconspicuous lunch spot with really great food. We ordered the Choripan sausage sandwich, a couple of pollo empanadas (they were sold out of carne) and an order of fries. (Btw, huge portion! Would serve 4 people as a side.) The sausage was served on excellent homemade rustic bread with chimichurri sauce, garlic, some chopped tomato and peppers and came with some more fries. Everything was really delicious and fresh. The fries were actually fresh made and really really incredible. The location is really convenient if you’re at or near the beach. And you can eat on the garden side if you want to get away from people watching on the street. Very friendly service too. We’ve eaten a lot of expensive mediocre food in the last couple of weeks on Isla but this was one of the few highlights. Would absolutely return here. Want to try the other empanada...

Ordered two El Mero Mero sandwiches which were absolutely delicious,,, the bread was moist and chewy and very freshly baked,,, it had thin sliced cucumber and avocado along with mildly grilled jalapeños,,, there was a bit of pickled onion that still had good texture and taste,,, all this was there to compliment a thin cut buttery grilled pork steak,,, it had a bit of pesta flavored green herb mixed in,,, all of this combined to make one of the best sandwiches i have ever tasted,,, the meal was served with hot, perfectly cooked potato fries,,, i ate it yesterday for lunch and look forward to eating it again today,,,the price was exceptional,,, it was on special with two meals selling for $499 pesos,,,the best money i have spent since visiting...
