El Caimancito is a bombbb destination for brunch. Personally, I love chilaquiles, and these are some of the best, if not THE BEST, that I’ve had so far in CDMX. I don’t like when the totopos get soggy, and at El Caimancito, they are always perfectly balanced. DISCLAIMER: I ordered extra arrachera in the photos that you see, which I highly recommend because it’s so tender and good. So don’t expect that portion, although the regular portion is perfect! I just indulge when it comes to arrachera 😩🤤I’ve already been here four times haha, don’t think twice, just come eat here. Can’t wait to try out the lunch menu, I’ve walked by and seen beautiful plates, they all look phenomenal. The vibe is super chill and comfortable. The staff is AMAZING 🥹 So sweet and kind. The coffee is nice as hell, too. I usually get an Americano, and it’s still robust, strong and zippy. The enchiladas de pollo con salsa rojo slap like crazy, order them! A nice place to work too; order some chilaquiles, then a coffee to accompany you while you get some things done. Don’t think twice, it’s alright...
Read moreI came here on a Friday afternoon and I gotta say everything was great!
This is a small seafood restaurant that I would HIGHLY recommend. We started off with the frutichelas (something I've never tried before) which is a beer that they add fruit juice to and it takes out the bitterness and leaves you with such a pleasant taste. I had the mango one.
Then for an appetizer we had the aguachiles. They were very flavorful and one of our favorite things here. We followed that with fried fish tacos and grilled fish tacos. Both were insane. And we also had the octopus a la diabla tacos which were spicy but SO delicious.
We ended the meal by sharing a small tiramisu cake. It was the perfect way to calm any lingering spice. All in all this place is a must-go if you're around la condesa and want some delicious fish...
Read moreThis place is one of my neighborhood favorites - the food is superb, the staff are super nice and attentive and the space feels nice. I’ve also been able to find a table each time I’ve tried which is a nice plus especially for a place so good. Here are my favorites:
Chilaquiles (I get them with egg and arrachera and salsa divorciado… fair warning, it’s a lot of food. Get the poderoso if you want even more deliciousness)
Omelette - really great dish especially if you’re looking for something lighter and heavy protein
the Concha’s are great… so is the coffee.
Hope...
