Residence L` Heritage — Hotel in Mexico City

This hotel is extremely overpriced in comparison to what you can get. The location is in a good spot but if you compare it to other hotels in the area or a homeshare rental, you could way more bang for your buck. I booked this hotel on a third party website for a few days while changing apartments in the area. I passed by the hotel the day before we were supposed to checkin and asked if I could checkin early. Understandably there would be a fee. The person quoted me 50% of the rate I was paying to checkin early. No problem. I show up the day of and they charged me 50% of the RACK rate which is an absurd amount. I spoke to the manager PATY (Patricia) who is probably the worst customer service person I have ever dealt with. They knew they had me standing there with 7 bags and were going to stick it to me. ||Aside from that, the door locks are what you would have on a bedroom at your house. An infant could kick it open. While the building is secure in gates, the building is very open and passers by can see in your room. Also, if you only rent a 1 bedroom, the other bedroom is shared by a smaller common entrance that if the door gets shut, you don't have a key which happened to me. So, basically the other tenant is sharing an entrance to you with a bedroom style door lock.||The breakfast is awful, don't be fooled by their free breakfast. My Girlfriend and I had 5 nights booked in this hotel and we barely made it one night. Found an Air B&B the next morning because the room was less than ideal. The rooms were hot and stuffy (we stayed in April). They offer fans but didn’t have one available for our room. You can open the window but it opens toward the courtyard of the building so you can hear every footstep, conversation, door slam, and every time someone flushes a toilet or turns on the water. Also, if you open the window it’s wide enough for someone to slide right on through. I’m not sure the likelihood of that would be but it still made me feel pretty uneasy. The bed was hard and the pillows were flatter than the earth (jk about flat earth… but not the pillows. They suck). We were given one bath towel, no hand towels, when we asked for another bath towel we were given one with a hole in it. Not a huge deal, but it was more of a dorm room feel than a hotel. The few good things about the room was the water was hot and the pressure was good and we didn’t find any bed bugs so could definitely be worse, however, would not recommend to anyone. Booked through a 3rd party and am asking for a refund but was worth eating a few hundred just to get the heck...
