We stayed at Casa Seis Siete for 3 nights/4 days during the 2nd weekend of October while visiting Mexico City for the first time to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and it could not have been a more perfect weekend getaway! The hotel building is beautiful from the columns, open staircase and courtyard, café seating area, and wall of greenery, it was a welcoming atmosphere from the moment we stepped inside. It is also located in a quiet corner of Roma Norte, with park-like streets, cafes, food trucks, bookstores, and great restaurants. We booked the only room available for our trip, room 301 on the third floor with an outdoor terrace, and we are so glad that we did! What an amazing atmosphere of serenity when we ascended the winding staircase to the top floor room.|What really made our stay unforgettable was the hospitality of the hotel managers, Gabriela and Eduardo. They both were so kind, helpful, and genuinely welcoming even before our arrival through email. They greeted us each time we returned from our daily outings, asked about our adventures, and offered thoughtful recommendations. They attended to every detail. Every morning began with Mauricio, the chef, preparing us a delicious breakfast in the on-site kitchen with freshly sliced fruit, yogurt, granola, and incredible chilaquiles which we ate on the outdoor dining table with morning coffee. It was a perfect way to start the day. Aurora, the housekeeper, kept our room spotless and cozy throughout our stay with any needed amenity. When we returned to the hotel in the evenings at sunset with the accent lighting and candles burning it was simply a magical site to see. The nighttime security guard even kindly stood outside with us at 4:45 AM while we waited for early morning transportation to Teotihuacan.|This trip to CMDX was a memorable and meaningful trip for us for so many reasons, and Casa Seis Siete played a big part. We can't wait to return and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. We only hope our review doesn't make it too popular that it's more difficult to book...
Read moreWe recently stayed at Casa Seis Siete for a retreat, and it has become my favorite hotel in Mexico City. It is a stunning villa converted into a boutique hotel, so you have the hospitality of a hotel with the privacy of a private Villa. ||We absolutely loved working with Gabriela, the manager. She was reachable whenever we needed her to help with any requests. The daily breakfast, particularly the chilaquiles, was so delicious. I loved sitting in the patio dining area, enjoying a scrumptious breakfast surrounded by greenery and the sound of birds. ||Additionally, the hotel allows you to be in the heart of Roma Norte but in a quiet corner, close enough to the hustle and bustle but far enough to get a restful sleep.||Room Tip: I highly recommend the penthouse suite if you can splurge. If access to a kitchenette is a top priority, room 102 is your best bet. But my favorite room is room 201—it has big French windows, a stained-glass window, and a...
Read moreAbsolutely lovely three-night stay at Casa Seis Siete. Our room (201) was one of the most breathtakingly gorgeous hotel rooms we’ve ever experienced. Breakfasts were generous and always delicious. We appreciated the complimentary water in glass bottles - so much better than plastic! - in addition to filtered water from the kitchen on demand. Wi-Fi is fast - fast enough to stream our favorite shows on the room’s TV without any issues. Being able to contact staff over WhatsApp is a nice touch. Keep in mind this is a very small hotel and unexpected staffing shortages can sometimes affect basic services, e.g. one morning the chef was out sick and we were directed to have complimentary breakfast at their sister hotel (Brick Hotel) a few blocks away. But I would expect this is not a common experience, and it didn’t affect the quality of our...
