We stayed at an Airbnb in Jungle Luxe, sister building to Jungle Chic. From start to finish, co-host Edgar, went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Edgar was very genuine, in every interaction we had with him, he was warm, he has the sort of charm that instantly makes you feel at home. But more than that, he’s absolutely one of the most attentive hosts I’ve ever encountered. Thank goodness for his attentiveness. After a day of misadventures—running out of gas on our ATV and, yes, my bestie leaving her phone at one of the cenotes, he checked in on us to make sure we made it back safely. I half-expected him to show up with a first aid kit and a snack, but fortunately, we were only bruised in spirit. Speaking of going the extra mile... the elevator at the building wasn’t working (of course), but did Edgar let that stop him? Nope! He and the front desk attendant, Saul, literally carried our suitcases up four flights of stairs. These weren’t just any suitcases, either, they were packed like we were moving into Tulum for good. But not a word of complaint! It was like watching real-life superheroes, except instead of capes, they had sweat and determination. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, they made sure everything was smooth sailing (even when we, clearly, were not). All in all, phenomenal hosts that made a series of unfortunate events much more bearable. The place is incredibly beautiful, DOG FRIENDLY and the location is just far enough from the noise but close enough to walk in "La Veleta”, just perfect. Highly recommend staying here, just maybe double-check your gas tank before the ATV ride! Definitely...
Read moreNot a great experience! If you want to rent go to Jungle Lux that has a better managment team and are kind and respectful. I brought my dog and I did not know it was not a pet friendly place, instead of warning me the first time, they just fines me directly with 2,000 pesos. I talked withe the manager and he was pretty rude and disrespectful. I had another incident withe the guy that cleans the pool, he sat beside me in the pool for 20 min watching me in my bikini, I was alone in the pool and very afraid. As soon as he saw people coming up he went running. I told the manager and he did not care, not even a sorry. The rooms are very tiny and looks a bit old. Jungle lux is an upgraded version with a better managment team amd cleaner vibe. Dont recommend this...
Read moreWe stayed here for 10 days and will never stay here again or recommend it to anyone. Our water was off a majority of the time while at the property and not only was management no help, but they were disrespectful when we let them know. We booked through airbnb and our host was not on the premise, but the water being off is a building issue, not our hosts.
Additionally, the co-working space has terrible WiFi…so you can’t even use the space to work. The condos are beautifully designed but not functional. When the water was working (which was rare) the faucets sprayed water in all directions.
With all of the options in Tulúm, I’d avoid this one, save yourself the headache, and...
