Hotel y Hostal 230 — Hotel in Valladolid

We had a great time at Hostel 230 and can’t recommend it enough. If you’re looking for clean accommodation with fantastic customer service then look no further. Our double room was basic but was perfect for our time in Valladolid. Aircon, fan, hot water and good WiFi - what more do you want when travelling? We only had breakfast once as we were out early most mornings but instead of us missing out the owners provided us with lunch instead. As part of the hostel they have a small buffet style Chinese restaurant and the food is great. There’s always lots of locals eating here and it’s always busy. Servings are large and very cheap (if you choose not to stay here then at least come for a good feed). Breakfast was perfect to start the day especially getting ready for a long bus ride. The location is great, quite close to the centre. The owner is kind and hard-working, they build a new hostel here, with about 20 rooms. I respect him for his work in a foreign country as he is Chinese who moved to Mexico with his family some years ago to start a new life here. Apart from accommodation, he also serves Chinese food for lunch and dinner.||The room and the bathroom are quite large but simple, with basic equipment only. There is air conditioning in the room. Breakfast is included.||The only thing that we don't like is the smell of mustiness in the room but I understand this because the rooms are in the old part of the hostel that won't be used anymore when the new...
