SANT DRITO COCINA MEXICANA — Restaurant in Valladolid

So the place is very hidden would never have found it without google maps 😅 I have been to all the restaurants in Valladolid and I must have passed this place a thousand times without noticing it. The place is nice has good vibes when we got there the place was full only has one table way in the back where there is very few decorations and looks like we were in a construction site but not a problem we are used to these type of places. Because of it being so full it took time for them to take our order and for the food to arrive, also not a problem we are relaxed people but for those who are not do not go at rush out time (7-8pm)The rustic wooden bench/chairs were uncomfortable had wood poking me in my hips. We ordered the 2 different hamburgers on the menu, the breaded shrimp plate and for drinks the pinada and mango lime. So I have to tell you I went here because I was craving a hamburger and saw a picture on one review and it looked good, so when I finally got to try these 2 different hamburgers I have to say there are the best in town especially the mar and tierra burger wow oh wow! And a huge plus to all the different salsa dips they have set up for you makes the experience even better. So my 5 star review that I am leaving is because you make the best burgers in town and you didn’t let me down on what I was craving that day, but I do want to mention the parts that in my opinion need improvement for you to keep your amazing reviews. The free tortilla chips you gave us had a bad dry taste and was covered in grease oil, the french fries I always eat but could not because they were greasy and soggy no flavor, and my pinada also no flavor just plain and simple. For a place that has a 4.9 rating I did expect better and especially for the price that they are making you pay. Please take these comments into consideration to keep this place thriving for I will be back for those hamburgers and hope next time I have a 100% satisfaction in all...

Avoid this place at all costs! Food poisoning!

I had the unfortunate experience of dining here and regret every moment of it. I ordered chicken tacos, and not only were they made with store-bought, bland ingredients, but the overall sanitary standards were horrifyingly low.

The place was filled only with tourists, which felt like a red flag. To make matters worse, the staff was unprofessional. The lady taking our order disappeared when it was time to give us our change, forcing us to leave more money and a tip since we couldn’t wait any longer. There’s no card payment option either, which was inconvenient.

Now, for the aftermath: I’m writing this while dealing with severe food poisoning—nearly 20 hours of vomiting and diarrhea. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. This place is a health hazard. Totally NOT recommended.

The place and staff are nice, each dish looks stupendous and is well sized. I had the Burger Mar & Tierra, which contains lots of different things that individually are delicious but unfortunately as they were all together the fast overall wasn’t memorable at all. It reminded me that simple dishes can be far more satisfying than a huge American style burger with all possible flavors cramped in it. The meat didn’t have any flavor, the guacamole was delicious on its own but in the burger you didn’t taste it at all as the shrimps wrapped in cheese and bacon kind of numbed the tastebuds over all. My girlfriend had something else and said it didn’t have much taste, but the mocktails they make are incredible. I can’t speak for the rest of the dishes, everything we saw pass by us looked really tasty. The prices were fair but all in all I wouldn’t come back...
