Hostel Banana — Hotel in arrondissement de Tanger-Medina طنجة المدينة

To be honest I had a great experience in Banana hostel. Spent two nights. Mohammed, Ayub and Malika the cleaning lady are great, very nice and welcoming. I’d come back just to meet them again honestly! On the other hand something I don’t wanna leave out is the Owner Khalid or Khalil, he came to me asking me if I’m here alone or with someone, then he asked me if I would like to drink with them the night and I shouldn’t worry about paying etc.. ofc I refused. Then later at night I was sitting in the rooftop minding my own business like everybody else there lol and he brought food to my table and insisted on me to taste, I said no couple times and he literally said wait I will fed you and wanted to put the spoon full of rice in my mouth which was soooo weird and made me uncomfortable idk maybe he just wanted to be nice but he definitely crossed the line. Cheap hostel where you will find everything either dirty or broken. Beds are alright but rooms have no windows, it's very stuffy with 8 people in there. No soap, no towels, no breakfast. But there is fast WiFi, toilet paper and hot showers. Noisy inside until very late. At 23:30 the owner came by to have a chat even as I was in bed about to fall asleep... Not sure if there was a recent change in ownership / name, but it seems like they deleted their previous Google listing, possibly to get rid of bad reviews. This is not a new hostel. We paid 90 Dh per person. At this price I would look elsewhere, especially during the warmer months. Hostel is also impossible to find with no signs even at the property door itself.
