Dar Blue Pearl — Hotel in Chefchaouen

Cheap hostal in a back street of the medina, so a great spot. Pretty but very basic rooms. The bed was pretty uncomfortable and the bed linen left a lot to be desired. The towels were also very old. We stayed in November and the room got very very cold in the evenings and i wished I'd bought my thermals. They do provide blankets but you need to wrap up. ||There is a traditional Moroccan lounge where you can sit and a roof terrace with fantastic views over the mountains. Some of the guests use it to smoke but each to their own and we found all the guests to be friendly. ||The kitchen was very dirty and only had crockery and cutlery for one, so not for the faint hearted.||One of the best features of this hostal is their staff. I gave 4 stars because i like how to connect with ahmed! He is fun young man and kind. He gave me small single private room instead of the dorm room which is actually not available anymore but they forgot to edit their listing.

The property itself

Cons: it needs improvement on how they put their wifi router so it can reach most of rooms. I struggle most of the time working from my room with my laptop no toilet paper would be nice to instal some nets on the window, because on the summer - so many mosquitoes and bugs get in the room and i got bitten a lot. It can be mistaken with bedbugs, but i am sure it was mosquitoes

This flat has a few rooms in the heart of Medina...and location is the only good thing of this place. ||First of all, it is impossible to find: no indications, no one that comes to you at the door of Medina to help you with the luggage, NO SERVICE at all! ||Prices are good, yeah but you receive nothing! They do not speak english, they do not accept cards, they do not provide you with anything in the bathroom, nor kitchen, nor breakfast is served. ||But, the worst thing is the COLD. It is COLD, COLD, COLD that you can't live inside! ||They do not have heating, nor provide any heater. The only thing you can use are blankets..blankets on blankets but the point is that all the environment is cold and damp so you are not able to warm up!
