I visited in November 2017 with 2 friends. We had a very average hotel room on the 3rd floor with 3 twin beds (all very firm as are most beds in Morocco). It was cold in Chefchaouen at night and the room was cold as there is no heat, however ample blankets were provided. The bathroom was small and the shower was TINY. The shower was either scalding hot or cold and very hard to achieve a comfortable temperature. Breakfast was one of the best of our trip as the coffee was hot and unlimited, and they served more choices than any of the other places we stayed. The hotel is in a fantastic location. It is very easy to get to the main street to catch a taxi and very close to the center of the medina with shops and restaurants all extremely close. Read moreI stayed here about a week ago, the room is fine and in a good location but there is no privacy and you can hear everything in the place. My shower wasn't working and when I complained to the staff in the evening I was told just to wait and no one came to look at it. I had to use the shared one to get hot water but the room is clean. However, if you stay here make sure you get a reciept when you pay for your room. I was forced to pay for 3 nights even though I only stayed for 2. Read moreHotel Chams has an excellent location- right on the main thoroughfare of the old medina. It has beautifully painted ceilings and doors. However, the staff is indifferent: the breakfast the worst we had while in Morocco for 3 weeks- dried out pastries etc.; our room never got cleaned- we had to ask for toilet paper; one "window" in our room opened on the air shaft into the kitchen so was very noisy early in the morning; the shower would turn icy cold suddenly- etc. We LOVED all the other riads we stayed in on the trip- so this one...
