I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but our visit to Oum Rabie Restaurant in Chefchaouen was frustrating enough to warrant one. From the moment we sat down, we felt ignored rather than welcomed. We had a very simple order—just beers—but had to ask multiple times before anything arrived. Meanwhile, guests who came after us were served promptly, including their drinks and sides.
The waiter, Abdul, completely disregarded us and even pretended like he hadn’t taken our order, though he clearly had. We were planning to leave a generous tip, but after witnessing how we were treated, we understandably changed our minds.
To make things worse, the complimentary items that normally come with the beers—like salad or French fries—were only brought out after we asked for them, even though they were supposed to be included from the start.
All in all, the service was unprofessional, inattentive, and made us feel like we weren’t valued as guests. Definitely won’t be returning and hope others have a better experience...

Service took incredibly long and was not friendly at all, it's almost rude. After an hour of waiting our food arrived and it disappointed massively: chicken was dry, rice was flavourless, plates were nothing like the pictures on the menu, and fries were undercooked. When trying to address this with the waiter, he simply dismissed the complaints. There was no receipt either, when asked for they produced a hand-written note in Arabic (which we cannot read). We paid the exact amounts as given on the menu and after we left, the waiter chased us down the street as he thought we didn't pay enough, but he couldn't tell us how much was missing. We made him recount the money and it was correct after all.
Very bad food, even worse service. The worst...
