Our stay at Riad amir was extremely disappointing and well below basic hospitality standards. I chose this riad based on online photos and reviews, but the reality was vastly different. The experience negatively impacted my trip, and I would not recommend this accommodation to other travelers. The room was in poor hygienic condition. The bed linens appeared unwashed and had visible stains. The bathroom was moldy and had an unpleasant smell. There was dust on the furniture, and the floor had not been cleaned The staff were unhelpful and dismissive. Upon reporting issues, such as the lack of hot water and faulty locks on the doors, no action was taken. The front desk was often unattended, and there was no one available to provide assistance after our room been flooded I don’t recommend this Riad at all

I have never been in such unfriendly riad in Morocco during my past 10 visits to Morocco.

This is a riad disgraced Fes.

SCAM ALERT - AVOID! ⚠️ We booked it through Booking.com. When we got there the place was under construction. The lady at the front desk cancelled the booking reservation and they sent us to a different location of "same" quality (It seemed like construction started days before so we don't understand why they didn't tell us in advance). Trusting their word, we paid them cash for two nights. They sent us to Dar Merzouga (also AVOID!!). The place smelled like old sewage, was dark and dirty.

We didn't stayed there either. We decided to move to a different Riad. The guy in the front desk at Dar Merzouga (Abdoul) said they would give us a refund for the second night since we didn't stay there, but that never happened. The whole thing is a big SCAM and...

Unfortunately we weren't able to stay at the place. We booked it through Booking and the reviews were very nice. We maintained clear communication and told them the time we would arrive both before the day and on the same day.

When we arrived, they informed us that there was no bedroom with a working bathroom available. They did not inform this before we arrived, despite communicating with us hours before.

They offered another place to stay. We walked there and they offered a place on the third floor with very steep stairs to me and my 62 year old mom.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to stay in the place and the experience was not good at all. We cancelled it and chose a more...

Amazing location in Medina, close enough to busy areas but in a small backstreet that is very peaceful and well lit. Very beautiful and typically morrocan interior, with amazing view from large rooftop terrace. I'm a solo traveller in an 8 bed dorm. the beds are large and comfy, and spaced far enough apart to give some privacy. Towels are provided and everything is very clean. Considering this was the cheapest place in fes when I booked, it's very worthwhile and i extended my stay. Also the wifi is good, I've been streaming love island australia with no issues ;)
