We were on a package and were supposed to be at another Riad but for some reason we were moved here and we could not have been happier. To start someone meet us on the street to help with bags. We entered the lovely home (not under construction so the previous review is confusing) and were offered mint tea and cookies while we did the paperwork. We got adjoining rooms with our AFS son and when we opened our door the room went on and on, it was immense with a large bed, 2 sofas, lots of space and a nice bathroom.||||The people were all friendly and accommodating to our strange schedule, late dinners, early breakfasts. Smiles and whatever you wanted.||||Food...what can you say. It was delicious and no doubt as good or better than we would have found at a restaurant. The mezzes were all delicious and the main courses (lemon chicken one night and shish kebab the other) as well and the food was plentiful.||||I highly recommend this place. Read moreWe stayed in the low season and were thus the only people in the riad. Because of that, I think they let us stay in the nicest room in the riad, which was large and beautifully decorated. The room opened up to the main courtyard and had its own sizable bathroom. There was also a safe in this room, but I felt safe enough to leave things out in the open since we were the only ones there. ||||The proprietors arranged for us to have a guide to take us through the medina, which was very helpful and also informative. It is through this guide that we ended up at a carpet sellers, which is also where I got my 5x8 Berber carpet, which I now hang proudly on the wall of my study. ||||The food at this riad was also very good- whatever you want for dinner, they will go out to the medina that day to purchase, so everything is fresh. ||||(actually traveled in July 2017, but the drop down menu won't allow for something...
Read moreI was not satisfied with the experience there, and maybe It was because i have been there in february, low season (?). 1_We were in the Riad but we booked the palace, wich Is two Building further and owned by them. 2_ the Place wasnt in use, not that clean and clearly without staff or security. 3_ the wifi worked Just in the day...during the evening/night i guess It stays off. 4_ the breakfast was served in the Riad- so you have to go to the other Building tò have your breakfast, confirming that there was no staff even if the guy at the reception told us that a collegue would have been all the evening there. 5_ i have found out who was the manager of the place Just the day after at breakfast and we had to say to her that we still needed the change from the payment made the day before.
