We came here based on the recommendation of our Riad's owner and I am sorry to say, that if it weren't for the late hour and that there wasn't anything else (traditional and recommended on Google) in the vicinity we would have left. The restaurant serves a mishmash of Marrocan and fast foods, from traditional tajine to burrito and that wouldn't have been much of an issue (though we were a little taken aback) if the food was good. Unfortunately it wasn't. There were three of us and so we ordered two tajines (one kebab and one couscous) and a tortilla with cordon bleu. The food came mostly cold - only one was steaming hot which leads me to believe that there are some organising issues in the kitchen - while one was not what we ordered. The only quite delicious thing on all our plates was the spicy souse that came with the tortille (which is funny cause the person who ordered it doesn't tolerate heat 😅). All in all, the worst food related experience we have had since coming to Marroco. Go to a restaurant within the old city maze instead. Why come here, when you can have mouthwatering food, in a family run...
Read moreOur favourite restaurant in Fes! We arrived in Fes at 23h and ended up in this restaurant by chance as it was open late. The people were super friendly and welcoming and the food was very delicious. We ordered two tajines and orange juices and they kindly brought us harira soup to try as "hospitality from the house". We tried other restaurants during the next days but ended up returning there at night all our days in Fes as we felt the food we had there the previous day was always better than what we were trying in other places 😁 We felt like we hit the jackpot in the first day 🤗 Everyday they would surprise us with a different entree on the house or tea and cookies at the end of the meal. They even made us a small "care package" with cookies for us to take home. Lovely place to meet very genuine morrocan people and eat genuine morrocan food in a pleasant terrace. You MUST try the Chicken Pastilla, they dont always have it because it takes a lot of time to prepare, but it is really worth the wait, our favourite dish in Morroco. Thank you for...

After a long day, walking through the medina, this is the perfect spot to eat local dishes at local prices. The staff was very friendly and the food was fresh and a good portion for a healthy eater. Absolutely recommend the Pastille poulet!
In the evening you're above the hussle and bustle of the street leading to the entry of the food section of the souks.
At our second visit for lunch time we ordered the mixed meat and Moroccan salad. You get greeted again by the friendly staff and the beautiful view of the city and mountain. Since we were in a rush and had to catch our train we asked if it was possible to take the salads on the go which was not a problem. Left in a hurry and to our pleasant surprise they wrote little notes on the boxes with "Good travel!!" and added a selection of tasty Moroccan sweets which made our journey so much more pleasant.
Highly recommend this place and...
