Riad Moroccan Style — Hotel in Fez

The host (Soufiane) was quite helpful. He helped us in carrying our luggage upstairs and also asked a porter for us to bring our luggage from the riad to the taxi point.

We really didn't like the location of the Riad, it felt too dirty and unsafe at night. at one instance- a small boy tried to ask us for money and when we refused, he tried to snatch my purse. We felt anxious while walking to and from the riad at night. Restaurants would close at 9:30 or 10 p.m., which would also be a challenge for us when we were returning late at night from day trips. This place is advertised as being close to "touristy spots".. but you need a taxi to go to Blue Gate or other touristy places.

The beds were too creaky, and a foul drainage smell would come from the bathroom. Our room was also on the 1st-floor balcony, so every time guests were downstairs, we could hear loud noises even at 11:30 p.m. I also found the stairs to the terrace quite challenging- if you weren't careful, you could fall down and end up injuring yourself.

My low rating is mostly based on the location and the challenges we faced. It's a personal experience, maybe others have had better...

A very authentic Riad, with a thoughtfull and lovely staff and delicious cooking. It is very well located, right in the middle of the medina, close to many traditional shops. The rooms are well decorated with air conditionner, the beds are cosy and the sheets are very soft. We had an amazing sleep. The riad has a rooftop with a beautiful view of the medina, where you can chill at the end of the day. We recommand you to have diner in the riad, you could taste an amazing Pastila and many other good dishes. Good quality and price guarantee. The decorations and tiles of this accommodation are amazing! You can tell they cared about every detail . The atmosphere is fantastic , the staff made me feel at home and I met alot of travelers that I got to explore fez with! The food is great . I recommend booking the desert with them or any excursions , they have good pricing and great advice . The terrace is my favorite part! A great breeze to escape the heat and fantastic view! 10/10!!...
