Hotel Safia: Great Location, Mixed Experience My stays at Hotel Safia in Marrakech have been a bit of a mixed bag over the years, though one thing remains consistently excellent: its prime location. Situated perfectly, it offers the ideal balance of accessibility to key Marrakesh attractions. The famed Medina is a pleasant 40-minute walk away, allowing for a scenic stroll, while everyday conveniences like Carrefour and other shops are a quick 10 to 15-minute walk. This strategic position truly provides access to most important points in Marrakech, making exploration incredibly easy. The rooms themselves are generally "okay" for a 4-star establishment, comfortable enough for a stay. However, after visiting three times over approximately six years, it's clear no significant upgrades have been made since then. The decor and amenities remain largely as they were, which is a bit disappointing for a hotel of this rating. It's also worth noting that views from one side of the hotel are not great, so consider requesting a specific side if possible. Where the hotel significantly falls short is the breakfast. It's quite poor, offering a very limited selection. The main choice revolves around eggs – whether fried, scrambled, or an omelet – typically accompanied by only half a slice of tomato and two slices of cucumber. For a 4-star hotel, the lack of variety and imagination at breakfast is a genuine drawback. On a very positive note, the hotel service is consistently very good; I have no complaints about it. The staff are attentive, helpful, and contribute positively to the guest experience. However, there is a clear need for improvement in cleanliness, specifically in the breakfast room. This area often appears to lack the attention to detail that one would expect, detracting from what should be the most important meal of the day. In summary, Hotel Safia is undeniably well-located with excellent service. However, it would greatly benefit from a much-needed refresh of its rooms (and their views on one side), a significant overhaul of its breakfast offerings, and a keen focus on cleanliness in the dining area.

AVOID THIS HOTEL!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! First arrived to the hotel, a hotel porter aggressively took our bags, without asking and asked for a tip. We did not require any assistance but we were taken back because of the way he conducted himself. We was shown to our room by the hotel porter, even though we said will manage and asked for another tip...this is where the horror started... Upon coming into the room, there was a kids size single bed and two single adult sized beds. We were three fully grown adults that paid for a room for three single adults...went back down to request for a room change, the hotel manager rudely said "if you are not happy, go find another hotel and we will not refund you." We had pre-paid and we could not contact Expedia so we was stuck with this hotel. Breakfast next day, not a continental breakfast that was advertised to be...waited 30-35 mins to be served and we were served after a few people arrived later than us because they spoke French or Arabic. Also, we had a feeling the hotel manager said bad words about us to the servers. The servers did not understand a word of English...same breakfast served everyday...again contradiction on the hotel details....Over cooked eggs...distasteful breakfast and service. -A/C and heater did not work correctly -Bed Sheets and covers were not changed daily, they just flipped over. -Bath rub was peeling and cracked in one part -No hot water in most evenings, in the morning it was Luke warm water at best The only thing that had going for this hotel is the WiFi connection and the train station is a 5 min walk (with McDonalds + KFC). SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BOOK ELSEWHERE!

We had a great time at Hôtel Safia. The room aswell as the the breakfast hall are really comfortable and perfect to start your day in Marrakech. The hotel staff was really kind offering recommemdations and help regarding navigation, cash changing and transportation. Khalid and Mustafa served us the best breakfast with morocan tea and were so friendly. The reception was also always there for us in case we needed help. The location is greatly positioned and you could walk to most of the important places. I defenitely recommend this hotel if you want to have a reliable and comfortable place to stay during your vacation in Marrakech.
