My wife had a terrible experience in this hotel. She arrived at 2.30am in the morning and was made to wait one hour in the lobby because of the hotel staff. I booked and paid for the hotel via PayPal. My wife showed screen shots of both the booking and the receipt. They did not believe that the room had been paid for and made her pay again in cash (after already waiting one hour)
When she arrived to her room, there was no electricity in the wall plugs for her to charge her phone, no towel and the bathroom was filthy!
She had a terrible sleep, when she woke up I had emailed her copies of both the booking and the PayPal receipt and told her to show the receptionist. When she did so, the man was very rude to her, basically threw her money on the table without any apologies and made my wife feel so uncomfortable that she left the hotel without charging her phone or having a shower. She then spent the next three hours in a Cafe until her transportation arrived.
When I rang up the hotel to complain, they told me they don't speak English. I told them I want to speak to the manager. They told me to call back at 15.00 so I did. When I called back, the man who spoke English never made any apologies for my wife's poor experience in his hotel and at one stage laughed when I asked if they thought my wife was lying about the payment and that she was trying to stay for free and run off in the morning.
I requested a full refund from their establishment which was never received. Nor did I receive any formal apologies after i had sent the hotel an email explaining the entire ordeal. I did not receive any email at all! Very...

And I wouldn't return with my parents.||Good Wi-Fi, good rooftop bar, staff are super friendly,...
Read moreI was pleasantly surprised by this place. My room was clean, my private bathroom was clean, the air conditioner worked (in August), and there was free wifi and a newish television with a working remote. I didn't see anything dirty like the pictures shown here from 2016, so the hotel must've made some improvements since then. I think I paid around $20 and it had a double bed.||||My only complaint is that there were no hallways, but rather all the rooms open off a central large room so you hear the comings-and-goings of your neighbors, a crying baby, etc. But it's no noisier than a large European hostel. (The noise is what makes me rate this hotel as a 3, otherwise it would be a 4 for the price.)||||The location was good--near the medina with plenty of restaurants nearby. It was a busy area with lots of pedestrians, and the hotel was easy to find.I felt...
