We really enjoyed our stay. It is ideal for those wanting a cheap and cheerful base to use to explore the city.||We landed late at night in the middle of Ramadan. We pre-booked a taxi with the Riad and would definitely recommend this. Google maps has its quirks and finding the Riad would be almost impossible without using a prebooked taxi with the Riad. The arranged taxi is also the only one which will drive right outside the Riad and you will be greeted by your host as soon as the taxi arrives on the street. ||When we arrived and checked in we had the Tajine in the Riad for €9 pp. This was nice, although quite expensive. If you land late at night I would recommend this, if not I would go out and explore. The host will be more than happy to help you find places to eat. ||We broke our stay up in Marrakesh by climbing Mt Toubkal. If you’re fit and enjoy hiking I would recommend this. The Riad allowed us to check out, leaving our bags in the Riad before checking back in again 2 days later. This was seamless. ||Breakfast in the Riad was just what you needed for the day. Lots of bread, jam and butter with Moroccan style...
Read moreLovely Riad within the north of the Medina. It's about a kilometre from Jemaa el Fna and is a pleasant walk - a tad tortuous at first but we got used to it - lots to take in en-route. Patrik, and especially Abdou, are great hosts and could not have been more helpful. Abdou even went out with us for a short way the first evening to make sure we were familiar with the route back! That was so helpful.|My room was one of the slightly larger ones and was very comfortable. The shower etc were also good. We had pre-ordered the lamb tajine for our first evening and it was really good, and great value. The breakfasts were also very good.|The central courtyard within the Riad has a lovely small pool but we didn't use it although other guests told us they had. There is also a very pleasant roof terrace but we only got there in the dark because we were out so much.|We booked taxis to and from the airport through the Riad. This was a very sensible thing to do and we would recommend any to...
Read moreI flew in from Australia arriving at midnight! The host made sure I had my airport transfer waiting for me even tho I arrived so late with no issues. They treated me to some nice Moroccan tea upon arrival because it was so late and I was weary the host made the checking in process so easy! The host kindly walked me the next day towards the ysl museum and gave me a map clearly explaining everything to me!
More so the as I spent 3 days in Marrakesh I quickly learnt that the location of this Riad was perfect as it was little bit away from the Hussle and bustle of Medina hence I got quality sleep each night and was refreshed to take on the morning!
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone as the staff were super friendly, caring and were fluent in English, French and Arabic!
I wish I could give this place 10 stars!!...
