Forget "the secret garden" restaurant, this place leaves them for dead. The food here is tasty, and the chicken was lovely and moist. The view over the streets is entertaining, a great place to watch the "world" go by. The owner very pleasant and extremely helpful. We asked about teapots and what to look for from a quality perspective and what price you would expect to pay for the various qualities. He was only to happy to share his knowledge. On leaving a friend of his was there with teapots to sell, obviously not a coincidence.😂 His friend was great, and not pressure at all to purchase a teapot. We did however buy one, as it came with the story I have just told. So a nice meal, in a great location, a friendly owner and a teapots story to tell our friends. You can't buy these experiences.🙂🙂

Friendly staff. We've been there two times during our 3 days Marrakech's visit. First time we've eaten pizza. Good taste, a little bit spicy but it is the Moroccan way to cook. Worth trying. Second times I took Tanjia with chicken (Marrakech's traditional meal). The chicken was masterfully cooked. I really appreciate the taste. Really cheap prices compared to other restaurant located nearby the center. The rooftop is not breathtaking, but we enjoy the sunset. Recommended.

This was our go to place to eat during our stay in Marrakech. The terrace had beautiful sunset views. The waiter who served us was friendly, polite, and had a welcoming smile on all occasions. All the staff were inviting, and welcomed us back when we returned. We tried an assortment of foods and each dish waa delicious, with our particular favourite being the tacos. We look forward to returning to Marrakech, and to Riad Laarouss. Thank you brothers.

Nice appearance from the outside, but personnel and food quality sub-par.

We chose the place because there were many customers, locals and tourists alike. The prices on the menu seemed fine, but unfortunately the quality was the worst in all the two weeks we ate out in Marrakech and Essaouira.

The vegetarian couscous was strangely spiced in comparison to about ten other couscous vegetarien meals we had (and really really enjoyed).

But the Panini with fries were worse, the food took forever to be served and that might be the reason why the fries were cold, mushy and unpleasant in taste.

When we were asked after the meal if the food had been good we answered in an honest but not really direct or rude way that we hadn't been completely happy...

The result was that we were being insulted as "crazy"...

Never before nor after did we experience such a bully-like behavoir from restaurant personnel.

If you really want good food that is worth the price and have the spare time, look for something else. Or go to Essaouira altogether which has much nicer tiny restaurants anyway. ;-)

It seems like at least some of the reviews here are posted by friends and friends of friends or family members of the café personnel... Only that can explain the overly...

The food took around what felt like 15 minutes to come out. We didn't have a big order, just two salads, couscous and a panini. When the food finally came out, the Couscous was cold and the vegetables on top were warm. I immediately told the waiter that it was cold and I want it replaced. It took another 10 minutes before he came back and made a big gesture of the plate being so hot. When he revealed the food, it was the same plate we sent back but just warmed up. I asked him if it was microwaved and he said no, but that they let it warm up in a Tagine. Food was only mildly warm but we were hungry and ate the bland food anyway. Will never...
