My mother and I stayed for 3 nights in December and we had a wonderful time. Absolutely no regrets about staying in a riad - definitely the way to go if you want to experience a little of the “real” Morocco and avoid the large touristy resorts. ||We had the warmest of welcomes (tea and Moroccan biscuits) along with a tour. The communal areas are beautiful and I imagine they would be a great space to relax in over the warmer months when the temperatures are higher. ||The rooms are spotless with a very comfortable bed. Great shower with toiletries provided, along with a hairdryer. ||The riad is very secure - access is only granted by using the doorbell and there is always someone there to answer. You also have the option of locking a cupboard in your room and taking the key with you if you have any valuables you don’t want to take out and about. ||Breakfast is wonderful - freshly squeezed orange juice, warm breads, eggs and cheese. It varied a little every day and was delicious!||We availed of the transfer offered from the airport - very handy as we would clearly have gotten lost in finding it the first time. Driver was waiting with a sign and we were taken as far as cars could go (a short 2-3 minute walk after this). One very minor annoyance was that the driver knew someone who took our cases at the end and we had to give him money (the equivalent of 1-2 euro). The hotel had warned us about this previously via email so it is absolutely not a fault of theirs - you’ll soon learn it just seems to happen all the time to every tourist. Having said that, it would have been tough finding the hotel on our own so perhaps a blessing in disguise. ||Lastly I just want to thank all the staff - they are a real credit to the riad. We were always made to feel welcome and they were always there for us when we needed help. Thank...

Super friendly, and helpful hosts.
Asis is the name of the guy who greets you when you arrive. His English is fine, easily understandable. If you speak English, He is your primary contact person throughout your stay. He’ll serve you breakfast in the morning, dinner if you order it in advance. And he’s happy to tell you about places to see in the Médina or on excursions to the surrounding mountains, villages etc.
The “father” of the riad speaks french. I don’t understand a word of French but you can tell that he’s a nice man! Always greeting you welcome when you come home, or asking you if everything is good. Throughout our stay we found him all over fixing up the place... having a riad is a full time job ;)
The “mother” of the riad. We didn’t se her much, but she’s an excellent cook! The breakfast was very good, and the one time we had dinner at the riad it was very delicious.
There’s a couple cleaning ladies always running around. The place was very clean!
There’s a roof terrace, which also contains two of the (I think) 7 rooms available. We stayed in one of these two. Waking up in the morning and having our breakfast on the roof just outside our room in the sun was a very good way to start the day.
The general atmosphere and feeling of the place, the people and it being a little relaxing calm spot within the stressful fast pace Médina played out very well.

Read moreCame here with my family for 5 nights and we really enjoyed our experience. ||||The Riad is beautiful, quiet, clean and spacious. It is in a good location as there are stalls and restaurants basically on your door step and it is only a 10 minute walk to the main square and 5 minutes to Mellah roundabout (which is good to get dropped off and picked up at). It is quite confusing to find at first, so I would definitely recommend getting our google maps at the ready. The door to the Riad doesn't have any signs or indication that it is the hotel, just number 54 on the door. ||||The staff are all very friendly and accommodating, especially the older man and the younger boy. We felt safe in the Raid as to get in you need to ring the bell and wait for someone to open it for you. ||||We had a lovely traditional breakfast every morning, which is served from 8-11 and you get to choose where about to eat it. ||||You can purchase excursions, food, drinks, meals and other activities from the hotel and they can recommend restaurants. ||||Our only constructive criticisms would be that the rooms could be doing with brighter lights, the WiFi to be better and a shower curtain or something to stop the water soaking the floor. ||||Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here as you get to be in the heart of traditional old town Marrakesh, but can get away from the hustle and bustle if you want and relax by the pool...
