The team at Riad Dar El Souk are some of the most accommodating and welcoming people who I have ever come across in the service industry anywhere. Abdul, Younes and Fatima really make the experience, and nothing is too much trouble for them. The team are willing to sort any experiences that you want, and Fatima can make lovely lunches and dinner on request. We found it particularly helpful that Abdul sat down with us on arrival, provided a map, and explained the main points of the city which we may wish to visit. The location is a 5 minute walk to the main square, and a 3 minute walk to the main roundabout where you can find taxis to any areas which are further out. Despite being so central, you barely notice the noise from the city (although do expect a little bit, as you would anywhere). The rooms were very clean, had air conditioning, and basic toiletry necessities. There is also a plunge pool in the centre of the Riad if you feel like taking a dip. Thank you so much Riad Dar El Souk for a wonderful stay in Marrakech. We will definitely recommend you to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in the future.

We had a wonderful stay here in the heart of the Marrakech souks. A delightful little riad, where we were made to feel very special by our friendly and attentive hosts. As our room wasn't ready on our first night (being spruced up with some fresh paint) we were offered an upgrade for two nights. Both rooms we stayed in were delightful and we slept well. There is a small courtyard downstairs (which was a cool relief from the heat), a lounge area on floor one, and a rooftop terrace with loungers. The hotel organised our airport taxis for us, we paid the hotel direct, so that meant everything ran smoothly and we could easily locate the riad on its quiet back street. Many thanks to Fatima who provided our tasty breakfasts and Abdul and Younes who made our stay a relaxed escape. We would certainly return and stay here again.

Lovely home away from home. Beautiful traditional decor, and spacious, comfortable roof top terrace. The staff were super friendly and helpful in helping you to navigate around the city. The breakfast was delightful and changed a little each day, staff were very accommodating allowing you to sit whereever you wished to eat, carrying trays or food up and down the stairs. It was a little bit noisy when people entered and exited the riad at night but I think this was only because we were near the entrance. The cooking class available was great value for money and very enjoyable. The location of the riad is great, a short 3 minute walk from the souk, you're very much in the centre, but far enough away to not hear the commotion. Very much recommend.

We arranged pickup from the train station and the driver was on the inside of the station and we were outside as there were no pickup instructions. The drivers attitude was unpleasant and he didn’t offer to help us with our baggage. We had to even ask him to bring the car to us.||When we arrived at the outside of the Riad, the driver stated no one was available to meet us from the Riad and to pay a strange young boy a few dirhams to take our bags in the wagon.||All of this should have been arranged by the Riad and planned. We were not given water it was very rushed and they didn’t tell us anything to expect or what was available to us. What times we could come and go. There is a sign saying 24/7 availability but they didn’t respond to our outreach attempts. The room looked nothing like the pictures. The pictures are extremely filtered. Our room was dusty, and the towels were old, low amenities in the shower. ||It was very poorly managed. ||We had gone to Marrakech for a wedding and we came back late one night and the gentleman who opened the door was not happy and unpleasant. We were never told there was a curfew or anything about the policies.||The most shocking experience was when we were trying to check out and leave early because of the awful experience we were being told that we have to pay the extra 3 nights and if we don’t the man who was working there would have to pay for it out of his paycheck!! The owners wouldn’t pick up the phone and the manager was ignoring the phone calls and leaving this poor worker to deal with the check out. I have never ever had an experience like this.. they refused to let us leave and no one wanted to be accountable for what we went through.||Bottom line don’t believe the pictures or the reviews, many were written by their family and friends who are...

I am going to take the time to write a full review as this would have helped me. We stayed at Riad Dar El Souk for 4 night in mid-january, 2 ladies (sisters).

The riad itself is pretty good, we thought we got a good deal (mind you we booked via a 3rd party which included flights). The rooftop is amazing, great to chill, the room is spacious, clean and the bathroom has all commodities (event qtip and makeup remover cotton). The food is amazing: tasty and comes in huge amount. We had difficulties finishing every breakfast. On the first night we took their menu (20€ for a 3 course meal) and the starter would have been enough, though it was so good! Finally the staff is great, always on the lookout to help make your stay better especially Abdul and Fatima. You can leave your luggage with them before check-in and afte'r check-out without any doubts. All in all I would go back.

As amazing as a place can be we all know location is everything. Being with my sister, 2 ladies, we had no issues but didn't take any risk. In January the days are shorter and it's dark by 7pm. The street is lit but we always came back before 10:30PM. In the summer, we would not have minded it one bit. If you are more than 2 or with a male, it is different and all will be well. What I'm saying is if I had been travelling alone, I probably would not have felt the greatest as it is in a tiny street further from the crowdy and busy main street of the medina. Hope this helps anyone who...
