We visited this cozy little rooftop restaurant tucked away behind the iconic Nyatapola Temple. The rooftop seating, overlooking the bustling streets of Bhaktapur, provided the perfect spot to relax and soak in the lively atmosphere.

For food, we ordered Buff Fried Rice, Buff Chatamari, Chicken Thakali (not pictured), and ended the meal with the traditional Newari dessert, Yomari.

The Buff Fried Rice had a pleasant smoky flavor from the wok, but considering the price, the quantity of buff pieces was a bit underwhelming. On the other hand, the Buff Chatamari was excellent. The soft yet slightly crispy base, topped with flavorful buff mince, paired beautifully with the chutney, making it a delightful experience. The Chicken Thakali was also quite satisfying.

The real star of the meal, however, was the Yomari. They serve two Yomaris per plate, each traditionally filled with either Chaku or Khuwa. We opted for one of each. The Chaku-filled Yomari was exceptional — rich, caramelized, and absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the Khuwa version didn’t quite live up to my expectations. In hindsight, I wish I had ordered both with the...

Definitely more pricier than other places but possibly due to location. We found the buff momos tasty but not particularly juicy and the chicken momo was not juicy at all, but perhaps to be expected. The vegetarian nepali thali was a bit on the salty side but presented well. Overall, food was flavourful and the staff were attentive. The masala coke is an acquired taste and the mango lassi could have done with more mango flavour. There is a washroom facility which is clean and they also take card which is also a plus however, a surcharge of 4% is charged. We experienced this at some restaurants but not all, so better to bring cash if dining here. View is amazing and atmosphere is quite relaxing. Note that it is not wheelchair or...

I would say this is the best restaurant to have a lunch for you. The food is very good , service is okey ! They have a limited sitting space and since this restaurant is very popular for it's food and location always remains busy. This is the most recommended lunch spot in Taumadi bhaktpur. I have my 9 group lunch organized so far and every time they have proven their...

Excellent service, food and wifi and wonderful rooftop view. Make sure to ask for your food to be spicy if you want the true Nepali experience. In our experience, local restaurants often spice very little if they see Europeans. You can pay by card, but not with Apple Pay/contactless even though the terminal shows the logo.
