... it could have been soooo much better! I've chosen this hotel because of its location (near the airport) and great feedback. It was our last night after 3 weeks Nepal tour and having already been in Kathmandu 5 days centrally located hotel wasn't necessary.||The choice was definitely good one - location is fantastic - interesting neighborhood, ideal for short walks and last minute shopping. Do not skip terrace bar on top floor; do it in late afternoon or early morning. It offers really nice views .||The best part ( or highlight) of this hotel were two immensely kind and helpful people who did just everything to help us and make our stay more comfortable. Unfortunately they couldn't change our room as the hotel was fully booked. I do not know their names but they deserve to be mentioned in my review - a young lady at the reception desk and her colleague who met us at the airport.||The only setback was our room: huge, cold and dark. It was just repulsive! Two small windows with no views at all, nude walls and intense sense of chillness. I'm aware of the fact that nothing could be done about natural light in the room (located on the 2nd floor) but a bit of interior designing definitely would help. Big bright pictures, a huge mirror, intelligently positioned lights - a small investment that would make a world of difference!||I would absolutely recommend this hotel and I'd stay in it again but only on...
Read morei love this cosy BnB tucked in the middle of Boudhanath! Price was very affordable and the staff was very helpful. Room was spacious and nicely decorated.||||We arrived around 7pm-ish and wanted to try some Tibetan food. (since we were in Boudha!) the manager was kind enough to show us to a local restaurant which served very delicious Chinese-Tibetan food, just 2 minutes away from the hotel. It was NYE too and we wanted to have some drinks. The manager recommended us to a local bar patronized by young local Nepali. The experience was lovely...! We had affordable drinks and were treated to a night out of local Nepali music and young adults who were enjoying their night out. the hotel is also located very close to to Boudhanath stupa (less than 5 mins walking distance). along the way, there is a Tibetan lady selling exotic plates and cups from Lhasa at very affordable prices. She has a sign that says 'fixed prices' makes purchasing so much easier. ||||I miss Nepal so...
Read moreWe stayed for few weeks in this great hotel. The rooms are comfortable and modern. Hot shower in winter and power backup during long power cuts make it even more comfortable. Great view from the rooftop. Walking distance to the stupa 2 minutes.||Dekyi, the hotel owner is a wonderful young woman with a great heart that really wants your stay to be delightful, so she really cares. Also the many brothers and cousin brothers of this Tibetan family always give you a warm welcome and smile and are immensely helpful and cheerful. You feel at home and nicely...
