I would love to give this place 5 stars, everything here is so near perfect - I'm here every week. However, they often play really loud music that doesn't fit the ambience of the place.
I started coming here because I like the relaxed and home-like feel and it was a great place to do work. But they often blast awfully distracting hip-hop/rap/RnB songs that make it near impossible to focus. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of some of this music, but not is the calm, cozy cafe environment where I come to work and focus.
Other than that their teas are lovely, snacks are delicious & healthy and their prices and super reasonable! I really do love it but they could do with a better playlist!
Also an incredible collection of artisan products from copper straws and containers to incense, homemade natural soaps and other chemical/cruelty free beauty products. Definitely worth a visit if you're...
Read moreNice space, but food and coffee don’t match the price or expectations
I stopped by Kar.ma Coffee for breakfast and ordered an omelette with toast, aloo tarkari, and a cappuccino with oat milk.
Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The toast was just supermarket-style white bread, the omelette was average, and the aloo tarkari — usually a flavorful Nepali dish — was simply boiled potatoes with oregano, lacking taste and effort.
The cappuccino was the biggest letdown. I asked three times if it was a proper cappuccino, but got no clear answer. It was made with filtered coffee instead of espresso, and tasted more like black coffee with milk. At 350 NPR with oat milk, that’s a steep price for what was served.
Kar.ma is a lovely space with interesting products, but the food, coffee quality, and staff knowledge need improvement to truly match the experience...
Read moreGood tea, local coffee, and specialty drinks- wasn't a big fan of the beetroot latte tho. It's a nice place with pleasing decor and comfortable seating. Great spot to meet up with friends, get some work done, or host small events. They also sell a bunch of artisanal items, chocolates, soaps, and such. I liked their open kitchen concept but its practicality is debatable.. the mix of smells and the noise is a bit distracting if you're sitting on one of the tables right by the kitchen area. Even though there's not much heavy cooking going on I feel like there should still be an exhaust vent of some sort (I didn't see one there) or a glass partition at least. Love it...
