Hotel Virgin Pokhara — Hotel in Pokhara

I had the worst experience of hotel booking here. The hotel management seems to be hungry for money. I had booked the room here from Goibibo site for one night on 31st Dec. However after arriving at hotel, the management denied the entry saying that there is no booking on my name and there are no rooms available here as it's a new year eve and also private rooms are having high demand and hence prices ranges from 3000 to 4000 NPR. Then only we understand that why they are denying us the entry because we had booked the room for 1100 NPR. The staff at hotel is also very rude and they misbehave with the guests. When we asked them to show the booking list, they denied. We asked them to call the owner, thier answer was like land line number not working and they don't have balance in thier mobile phones. Finally we asked them to give us in writing that they don't have booking information with hotel seal and stamp. They gave us in writing but with no seal and stamp. The hotel management was saying us all the time that they don't have booking on our name but if we want they will arrange the room for us but we will have to pay atleast 3000NPR for a room. This was the worst and pathetic experience of my life so far. I would like to alert all the tourist to rethink twice thrice before booking this hotel in advance online. These are money minded useless people and they wont help...

I had the best experience at Hotel Virgin while in Pokhara to do the ABC trek. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the showers are hot, the wifi is fast, and the food they serve downstairs is even tasty! The location is also excellent, as it is close enough to the lake and other shopping areas, however tucked away enough to have some peace and privacy. ||||Most importantly the staff is amazing! They are all super friendly and helpful. The owner himself, Sam, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the best it could be! He can arrange day trips, as well as trekking opportunities and even bus tickets and plane tickets or provide transportion to any of your destinations. I will for sure be staying here again...

Had the worst experience. The bedsheets and the pillow case were so flithy we had to use our own clothes and one of the staff as soon as we checked in was asking for my friend’s whatsapp number and facebook details.
