Beautiful Restaurant with Gorgeous Open Kitchen....But that's where the beauty stopped for me...
Customer Service is attentive, but they couldn't really understand my order or my questions...
Drink: Ordered a Margarita on the rocks in a rocks glass and the drink came in a Margarita glass with two small ice cubes..Flavor was off, good thing I like mine spicy so I added the habanero sauce that was on the table to the drink and fixed it...
Food: Ordered Nachos as an appetizer to share; Arrived in a smoking hot bowl with cold chips, not melted cheese, and missing the nacho sauce like the menu stated..And an EXTREME amount of tomato salsa that left a pool on the bottom of the bottom...Sent the item back for a remake, but when the new order arrived, it was just like the first...
We then ordered a Chicken Sluvaki as we saw an order walk past us and it looked delicious...that's where the excitement ended..When it arrived it was drenched in so much sauce that when we attempted to pick it up the pita fell apart in a pile of mush on the plate..The server came over, we explained the problem, but he just smiled and walked away..Dish was missing French fries as menu stated and only two very small pieces of chicken per pita..We ended up eating the dish with a fork...Very disappointed...
As we were still hungry, we wanted to order a pizza, but after being so disappointed in the first two dishes we were afraid of a third disappointing meal...
I explained the problems to the "Chef" who was wearing a nice white coat in the kitchen, and who if doing his job correctly would be checking all orders going out of his kitchen..He smiled and thanked me for my feedback, never once talking to the General Manager about a slight discount or full compensation for the horrible meal I just had...
Total Bill with 13%VAT and 10% Surcharge was 1800..Very expensive for a meal in Phokara and even more expensive when the whole meal and drinks were bad...
Hope they fix the issues because they have spent a lot of money on the decor but the food falls way way...
Read moreThe first restaurant in my life, I left so upset I was in tears. For average overpriced western food. This wasn't our first time here but the first time we had our young daughter with us, who is too young to speak for herself. With no kids menu I chose a healthyish adult meal option from the main menu but expressly requested no chilli or spice. The dish came back with jalapenos on top which I removed but was told the dish itself was not spicy. A few bites in my daughter started crying, but had continued to eat through her tears. I tasted it and realised it was very spicy. I told the waiter what had happened and I asked if he could just do me a small portion of the dish again without spice this time, he could even just remove premade ingredients if it was too hard. The chef flat out refused. I asked the chef why and he said you should've ordered a pasta or something. I would've if I had known it wouldnt also be laced with chilli. He continued to smile mockingly and ignored everything I said after that. I was never rude or loud just wanted to give constructive feedback but he started to talk over me to other staff so I left the lost cause. We went to pay not long after and I asked for my child's food to be taken off the bill. He then guilted us and said the faultless waiters would be charged if we didn't pay for it. At this point my baby started crying again and I burst into tears at the injustice of us having to support the waiters in this way and I left my husband to pay...

We wanted to have a glass of red wine with our dinner so we ordered the house red (the only option available by the glass). The waiter, politely, told us that the house red was not available so we ordered a bottle of another red wine (although we didn’t want a bottle but there was no other option available by the glass). We were then told that that wine was not available either. The only options available were double the price of the house red so we decided not to have any wine in the end. The manager came to offer 2 glasses of an Australian wine which we accepted. However a minute later we were told that there was only one glass left in the bottle and they can’t open another bottle. In the end we decided to order a bottle of water and we were asked if we wanted the water to be cold or room temperature. We told them room temperature would be fine. A couple of minutes later they brought a very cold bottle of water.
We also ordered a pizza, a chicken dish and a cheese and meat platter as an appetiser. The pizza and the chicken were ok. The cheese and meat platter was basically few bits of cold meat and four small pieces of cheese, two of them cheese rinds.
We were very surprised by the lack of ‘can do’ attitude which is not consistent with what we have overall experienced in Nepal and in the other roadhouse restaurant...
